Wrigley P.K Chewing Gum Shake up (Sugar Free and Revised Quantity Servings)

For anyone who cares, Wrigley PK range has quietly gone sugar free across the range and in the process reduced quantity sizes and kept the exact same package.

Coles has dropped the Wrigley PK Regular Chewing Gum 5 Pack 70g and instead only sells the Wrigley's P.K Chewing Gum "Sugar Free" as a 4-Pack 56g for $4.00.

Woolworths on the other hand most recently bumped their 5 Pack 70g variants up to $5.00, but my local Woolworths store as of this week had them on clearance for $3.00. I suspect Woolworths will cheekily bring in the revised 4 Pack 56g and leave it stickered for $5.00.

As someone who regularly uses the gum on the daily, I didn't even notice the gum had gone sugar free but definitely noticed this week I was barely getting 60 minutes out of one piece before I would spit it out. Much less then the sugar flavoured versions.

Anyone else come to this realisation too?

The Extra Chewing Gum also changed sometime between last year and this year.

The Spearmint Gum Stick use to be green, now white.

    • Extra is so expensive now. I wait for a sale and it's still $4.50 for the bottle

  • Damn I haven’t had PK gum since like 1998

  • I thought most of the gums had been sugar free for a while now?

Agree. Chewing on sugar for extended periods sounds like it would be really bad for your teeth.

    • Could it be your technique?
