Not advertised in the catalogue but seems to be half price this week. Hopefully Woolies doesn't change their mind randomly like two weeks ago.
My fav is the Macadamia Shortbread.
EDIT:
Looks like Woolies did it again - price has gone up to $3 now

100%. I keep these as back-up when there's not enough time to do our own baking.
when there's not enough time
Less than 20 mins…

Ignores:
1) Getting everything together (prep)
2) Clean up
If you decided right now to go and make that recipe, you won't be eating a cookie in 20 minutes.
Even so, people don't have time and that's why we don't make stuff and buy it.
zero, time…
do you throw your dishes out the window or something?
Ah crap, didn't see who the commentor was.
Ignore.
you won't be eating a cookie in 20 minutes.
can have them ready in 15 mins using air fryer.
4 mins using microwave
You should, they'll be much tastier and better for you.
Better in terms of what exactly?
nothing beats home baked
this choc chip recipe is a modern classic: https://www.seriouseats.com/the-food-lab-best-chocolate-chip…
there's been other variations and even further refinements since
I love getting baked at home.. wait what? 😂
Price Byron Bay Cookies
These taste awful and stale.
Can't agree with stale. Awful? Pretty close. Make your own.
Umhealthy junk, should not be advertised same as smoking
I'm supposed to buy them because they're… Byron Bay?
I'll buy them if ingredients are healthier choice over others, and aren't. No buy, can't even wipe my behind with fake, fabricated patriotism, oi, oi, oink!
wheat flour (thiamine, folate), white compound chocolate (23%) (sugar, vegetable fat, milk solids, emulsifiers soy lecithin, 492, flavours), butter (milk), macadamia (11%), sugar, egg, cultured dextrose, maize starch, raising agent (500, 450), soy lecithin, salt, natural vanilla flavour.
It looks fine to me for a cookie. What makes the ingredients exceptionally less healthier than other normal cookies?
yeah that sounds about right for a supermarket cookie
obviously you'd use fewer ingredients at home, but even then there will be plenty of sugar and calories
There's no single answer to that. It just comes down to where people draw the line for themselves. Just like KFC deals: some won't touch it at all, others vary from having it occasionally to regular basis.
Thing is some people feel better about their choice (which is totally fine) and rub it on others. Akin to religious nutjob who tell others that they are going to hell.
You're not going to hell but you'll definitely go to earlier grave, look older then your age is and calling for complications to your health unnecessarily.
definitely go to earlier grave
Nope there are other factors to consider: your genetics, existing condition, diet moderation etc.
calling for complications to your health unnecessarily.
That's why I said it depends on where you draw the line. Many people love booze despite all the known side effects. What's necessary for you might not be the same for others.
It's a cookie…
absolutely untrue if people eat them in moderation
My issue is with those who insist that home made cookies is healthier than commercial ones. Yeah, it could be a little bit healthier, but by how much? As long as they have similar amount of flour(carb) and sugar, they will all have the same "unhealthiness" level. Dosage is everything.
And yeah, same with fried chicken. Deep frying your own chicken is as unhealthy as KFC. Sure it can be a bit healthier if you use a certain type of oil and use it only once, but in the grand scheme of things, they are effectively the same.
Only good one is the macadamia shortbread. The others taste cheap.
RIP previous half price of $1.25…
That was like in 2021, so almost 20% price increase every year for the last 3 years..
Pepperidge Farm remembers
Nah i definitely got them last year when there were $1.25
It was what made me aware of these and i only ever got them jwhen it was half price
October 2022 it was already $1.50 on half price. Doubt they lowered the price some time in 2023 and then increased it again within the same year :/
It shows as $3 now.
Thanks for the update. F**in Woolies just change price mid week randomly now :(
I also just saw this in store at a Woolies Metro
Just bought some in store for $2
Glad you were able to grab some. How long ago was it? I'm wondering if this is just pricing error on their website or if their actual price has increased.
Still $2 a Woolworths Channel Court (31.07.2024, 16:07)
Seriously I picked some up at 2pm - Molonglo Koko Metro. $2. Pods too half price
My local woolies still selling them for $2.
Brisbane woolies is $3, maybe it's state specific.
You mean in-store right?
Yes, in-store.
It's random even by store. One store near me was $2 and another had it at $3.
Hmm that’s really weird
showing $3 online here
scam
100g doesn't go far sadly, seeing these kind of offers tempts me to do some home baked cookies
