Is this working for anyone? I just keep getting the same screen after I put in a valid e-mail address and press submit… maybe it's my ad-blocker?

Update: I worked it out. Looks like I was using an e-mail address that I used years ago for a different offer… sorted now.

    • Thanks, had the same issue.

      • still not working for me

I received the email. Instantly. Have not downloaded or activated it though.

    Any App version available?

    Heic support?

  • Thanks for the post! Lightroom is getting painfully slow these days had a quick look at a review/interface of this and I can see myself potentially doing editing in the Gemstone and move onto Photoshop should the need arise.

I use Capture one, but they now only have pro pricing and their upgrade pricing is now "loyalty" based not version based.

I'm thinking of switching to On1 photo, it's pretty good, great value and the other On1 stuff is nice too.

      • Yea I had a look at Capture One too then decided their pricing wasn't worth me moving over.

I have to keep Photoshop due to certain actions and tools I have for portraits and astrophotography.

Lucky I only very occasionally pick up jobs that require large volume editing where I need to use LR…I think it's mostly when I have to start using their mask tools it just gets massively bogged down, I've already setup LR as well as I can to improve performance (pre-build preview, use GPU, stop writing metadata, massive cache size, disable sync, disable auto detect face etc etc); ironically a more powerful program like Photoshop runs buttery smooth without any issues.

  • I've been using ACDSee for ages since their only product, a viewer. Their photo management and editing tools are great that I even bought some. Will give this new photo editor a try.

    • In terms of photo editing it seems to be having the same features as Photo Studio Ultimate with just two exceptions:
      - Gemstone supports Non-destructive cropping
      - Gemstone uses .gsd file format for reopening layered images in the future while Photo Studio uses .acdc file format.

Here is the full comparison of different ACDSee photo editing products https://www.acdsee.com/en/product-comparison/

      • I have Photo Studio Ultimate 2021, but prefer Affinity Photo. It's probably worth a try as they now offer a 6 month free trial (and it's cheap anyway, without any ongoing subscription).

ADCsee… wow that is a name I haven't seen in a very long time.

    • me too in the late 90s, after that it was IRFAN View, still use that anyway

ACDSee, what a flash from the past! Used their image viewer back in the 90s/early 2000, then never heard of them again.

I'm a huge fan of Google Picasa! Its user-friendly interface and robust features make organizing and editing photos a breeze. However, like many other beloved Google products, Picasa was discontinued, leaving me to continue using it without updates. Despite this, I still find it to be a valuable tool for managing my photo collection.

What do people use for video editing?

      DaVinci Resolve is fantastic

    • +2

I've recently moved from Vegas to CapCut, and it's amazing. Remove vocals at the click of a button. Remove the background. Fabulous titling, transitions, captions. Renders quickly. And it's intuitive (I previous tried DaVinci Resolve and somehow my brain just didn't click with it)

  • They have ACDSee Gemstone 14 already
So 12 is pretty, pretty old
