seems they have different colour temperature ratings. Black version is probably "whiter" light

I have one, it's my most used torch for around the house, small and practical. Magnetic base is the best for such a light weight small torch.
I have a few brighter more traditional style torches which are good in their own right, but not used as much around the house.

I backed the origional unit on KickStarter…they're great and well designed but the battery replacement is the worst experience you'll ever have with tech.
Thanks OP (and others). I ordered an E7 that others linked to. I have been looking for a lamp for my toolbox and the E7 seems to be perfect. And cheap too.
I picked up an E7 as well and I'm really happy with mine tbh, I wanted a non black one but ended up going for the 5000k to try something a tad less blue. I'm very glad I did, it still looked quite blueish to me when I first turned it on (so it's by no means yellow) but next to my bike torch I can see that it's actually considerably less blue.
If this had a moonlight mode and adjustable brightness strobe that would just be icing on the cake. This is just such an awesome little light, I might have to get the head strap.
