Get cashback into your account, typically paid within 14 business days
Offer not eligible for gift card purchases from JB Hi-Fi or The Good Guys. Offer eligible for online payments only.

Not sure how CBA can enforce this given they can't really see what items you purchase on Special (as far as I'm aware)
Last time I bought a GC from these guys it mentioned the GC I bought (Woolworths) on my bank statement. They might be able to enforce it this time.
just bought woolies $100 card and on statement its showing "specialcard-Woolworths Elsternwick" so i better get that $10 lol
There is a "Tech Head" gift card which can be used at JB Hi-Fi which might get around that exclusion.

Wait. You can buy other gift cards (Amazon/eBay) at Woolworths using Woolworths Gift Cards?
These gift cards from Special are not exactly Woolworths Gift cards. They are prepaid Mastercards that work only at Woolworths, which mean you can use them to buy gift cards at Woolworths. If paying at a manned checkout you don't need to tell them you are using a gift card, they work like a normal Mastercard.
Tip: You can also ask for split payment if using multiple of these cards (same for self-checkouts)

There are no fees for most gift cards at Woolies. The only ones with fees that I'm aware of are the prepaid Mastercard, Visa and Eftpos gift cards.
I got the Woolworths gift card then tried to buy Amazon gift cards in-store at Woolies about 10 days ago but they don't seem to sell them anymore.
I asked a service person there and they seemed to confirmed that.
Ended up getting some Apple gift cards at Woolworths and spent the remaining on groceries :)
@jamesoo7: Sorry a bit late to the party. Woolworths definitely still sell eBay gift cards in Victoria. Bought some myself a few days ago.
Maybe not all stores, or maybe they're phasing them out?
@TEER3X: Strange I was in Adelaide when I checked the local Woolworths store - I even asked for staff help in finding eBay and Amazon cards and they confirmed they didn't sell them.

I can't see any way to get these alerts pushed through CommBank app. Was trying because the benefits need to be Activated before using otherwise won't apply. Cheeky move by them

I haven't had any issues, just purchased a woolworths gift card, which is actually a virtual mastercard, had no issues using it. Maybe avoid some of the other types of cards.
Part of the issue with Product Review is people come to winge, more often than not and hardly anyone who it all works out fine for comes to put a positive review.

I've brought several cards, used all money on a few and had no issues. Just reporting not having any problems (At least using Woolworths cards)
Exactly. I've used Special 3 or 4 times I think for cashback offers. Only ever gotten Woolies cards and having a virtual card rather than a normal gift card is a quite the PITA, having to install their app etc first just to add to GPay but haven't had any problems once it was done. Wouldn't run out to ProductReview to leave a positive review either though.
You actually don't have to install the app, at least on Google Wallet, you can just copy the card details into the Wallet app and it accepts them.

Also yeh your payment may get declined due to fraud checks, but this is common for most gift card sites and some banks
Tried to make a purchase and got declined, both credit and debit.
CBA support says there is nothing wrong with my cards but special gift cards says otherwise.
Worked with my CBA debit. It asked for a Netcode which I got from the app.
didn't contact CBA when my steppay declined after entering the Netcode. Payment with CBA debit card went through.

The CBA Smart Access account (with linked debit card) requires a minimum $2000 of deposits per month to waive the fees. I don't think CBA has any fee free accounts for the general public.

Edit: All good, it worked, the tech head gift card acts as a credit card so don't think JB is aware it's a gift card, or maybe just works anyway.
