Can anyone recommend a qi2?
Bought one of these a few months ago. Not very impressed.
Might be because the family already has a couple of 3in1 ESR travel chargers, which are MagSafe. They are much better, comes with its own travel case and just plain better. Four times this price though, although they do go on sale occasionally.
ESR just came out with qi2 versions of the travel charger and other chargers, but I haven’t bought those.
Why not this Cygnett for $10 at Amazon or $12 at Big W?
This is a portable charger..
And it's different how?
Because you dont have to carry your with you to charge your phone.
@LeifAlbor: Your
This can charge apple watch too, its a 2 in 1 charger
the apple watch charger at the back can also work as a iphone stand
I've tried 2 of these, had to send both back. They both got too hot to touch while charging.
Yeah I've got one, it does get quite hot. I use it overnight and usually have it just sitting on my bedside table so it doesn't bother me. Also got it for free (price matched Harvey Norman at JB and then used a $10 perks voucher).
Mine's been fine, using with a Wotobe 100w PD charger.
Using a spigen magsafe case.
Not the same
My experience: I bought this during the Prime Day sale, it looks quite nice, but the charge is way too slow.
It sure is slow. May work for those who wouldn't mind charging over-night. That's why I didn't get this one. If you want fast wireless charging for both iPhone and Apple watch, better to go with their new portable charger.
I also bought this one you linked, it is very slow - I left my iphone on the stand for over 10 minutes, it didn't even jump up by 1%.
I am using the UGREEN QI2 now - which is much faster:

Still 2.5W watch charging.
depends on your use case
I dont wear my apple watch for sleep, so 2.5w charging is fine for me
For those who wear whole night for sleep tracking
probably watch fast charging can be useful
but I dont find many options for 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 chargers with apple watch fast charger in the market though
even Apple MagSafe Duo doesn't support watch fast charging
https://support.apple.com/en-au/111812
@littlesoldier: Yep, not many multi options due to the proprietary nature of it all. Just prefer to keep the original with me. Apple doesnt even sell like a 30cm fast charging cable, you pretty much have to spend big money for like the newer Belkin 3 in 1, etc.
Isn’t this and the one OP linked in his post both say 15W charging for iPhone? Then how one is faster than the other?
I saw on one of the advertising pictures that it says 10W max for iPhone. You need to remember that just because the wireless charger outputs 15W doesn't mean it will do so for iPhones. Only Made for Magsafe will work, magsafe compatible does not charge at 15W.
Im confused at this listing though, as it mentions Made for Magsafe in a second picture but only mentions 7.5W for iPhones in a third picture.
How many gigawatts is it?
1.21 of course!
Isn't it a slow charger?
It sure is. That's why I didn't get this one. If you want fast wireless charging for both iPhone and Apple watch, better to go with their new portable charger.
The 2 in 1 wireless charging station features seamless magnetic alignment for a reliable charging process. Fast charging for iPhone 12 and above supports up to 5W/7.5W/10W/15W, Apple Watch charging supports up to 2.5W, and AirPods Pro (with MagSafe battery case)/AirPods Pro 2nd Gen/AirPods 3rd Gen charging supports up to 5W. After reaching 100% charge overnight, the 2-in-1 wireless charger apple will automatically stop charging. The wireless charging pad has safety certifications such as overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, over-temperature protection, and foreign object detection.
I believe for iphone it can support up to 15W wireless fast charging
while apple watch only support 2.5w
Nooo got this two weeks ago at full price. I'd recommend this if youre after a bit of a charge while on your the pc
support fast charging ?
iphone support up to 15W wireless charging
apple watch support 2.5w charging
Freaking love MagSafe. Haven't plugged in my phone in years.
Yep - Wireless charging is fantastic—it saves time and reduces wear and tear. I miss it with my OzBargain-approved Motorola G84. FYI, Apple wasn't the first at all; The Nokia Lumia 920 had wireless charging way back in 2012.
wasn't Apple the first with magnetic alignment though?
If not, they can definitely take credit for popularising it
Yes I couldn’t get into wireless charging for a long time. I think it was just the old correct placement on the QI charger when you have a case problem.
With MagSafe it just clicks to the right place, and standby mode on the bedside table is fantastic.
I don’t have an Apple Watch so my use case would be only iPhone is 15W good enough?
Can someone please advice steps to create alerts for deals ? I can't seem to find the option:(
What do you mean? For this specific product, or for all deals on OzBargain (of which there are going to be many!).
For any deal, I remember in search you would type whatever and then create alerts but I don't seem to find create alerts option again:(
So when you perform a search, you don't see the following options near the top of the page?
Sort | Type | Category | Time | Options | Create Alert
@smartazz104: Got it. Thanks
Willing to give this a go for $20 since it looks like it'll fit into my thin laptop satchel bag and can take it around when travelling.
Does it charge iphone 13 with 7.5W (according to the pictures) or 15W (according to the text)?
Can anyone who has this charger confirm that? Thank you.
Support up to 5W/7.5W/10W/15W
Is it still true that wireless charging can lower the overall battery health with prolong use?
Wireless charging itself is not the major risk factor to degrade the battery, but the heat generated
Some MagSafe charger in the market generate quite a lot of heat when charging, especially those MagSafe powerbank
For LISEN, with the 3 in 1 charger I bought last time, so far didn’t realise over heating issues
Currently unavailable.
I'm sure there are some use cases for this compact unit - but since it needs to be plugged into power source with an extra cord anyway, I don't see the point compared to a wireless puck with built-in cable. Like this, for example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005504384371.html
Or even better for portable use, a portable battery pack with wireless charging - more $ though
EDIT - just realised OP unit has watch charger too, so my link above isn't a complete alternative
It may be portable and convenient but it's naaasty as regards phone charging inefficiency. Once you add losses between your wall socket and charger output and cable to that between the input and battery of the charging station plus the horribly lossy induction transfer to the phone from the device. I'd say you'd be lucky to see 1 out of every 2 initial watts arriving at your phone's battery.
As an efficiency seeker this stuff keeps me awake as others snore loudly.
its probably a compromise between convenience and efficiency
wireless charging is definitely less efficient in charging compare to cable (wired) charging
you may also need to consider the wear and tear of the charging port
I did have 2 old phones that charging port got broken after keep plug and unplug with cables (also chances of cable plug header broken and stuck inside the type-c / lightning port)
I must just be super careful or lucky or both, nothing ever seems to break, not even cables.
doh missed it
had it in my cart but got a phone call
Mine arrived but man it is really really slow to charge compared to all the other wireless Magsafe or Magsafe-compatible chargers I have. Haven't decided if it's worth keeping but I still like the portability for when I travel.
Thanks OP. Bought one
