My Credit Card No Longer Works with ShopBack

I used my CC for multiple transactions with ShopBack today - $30, $20, $15 etc. for the ShopBack giveaway…in total I did about 10 transactions with ShopBack and now my CC no longer works with ShopBack.

Is this some sort of temporary block by my CC to avoid fraud and will go away within 24 hours or so or do I need to call them to unlock my card with ShopBack?

Anybody else faced this with continuous multiple transactions with a vendor?

Probably just a temporary limit as you say, i've had it happen with other online shops when I spend a bunch of transactions in a row it will be temp blocked.

    • I spoke to my cc customer care and they said my card is not blocked, but per day there is a limit of "10 wallet transactions" (i.e. small amounts of <$100) and now I can only do transactions with the physical card (PIN and CHIP)…he did mention that NFC payment will still work and the transaction limit will reset at midnight.

It seems all mixed messages because NFC uses Google Pay and I'm not sure whether the 10 small transactions is per merchant or across the card, but I have never heard of this before

  • Pace.

You could have done them over a few days.

    • True, didn't realize this could block the card…now still blocked after midnight, maybe i'll give it a day and check again tomorrow if it works with SB…I did use the same card online at another retailer and it worked fine
