Switch your energy provider to Ampol Energy and save 10c/L on eligible fuels. Valid at Ampol Foodary locations for up to 1,500L per year, that's plenty of savings to power your way of life.

10c/L savings on all petrol and diesel from Ampol when paying with the Ampol app. Payment must be made via:

  • FuelPay: Once you’ve fuelled up at a participating Ampol location, open the Ampol app, enter your pump number and hit pay now using your preferred payment method for automatic redemption of your Ampol Energy fuel discount; or

  • QR Code: To display QR code, visit the Rewards tab in the Ampol app and tap on the “Energy discount” cell or tap the QR code icon in the upper righthand corner of the screen. Present in store at the counter for scanning. Note: you can only redeem your Ampol Energy fuel discount using your QR code once every 24 hours. However, you can redeem your Ampol Energy fuel discount using FuelPay as often as you like.

A maximum of 1,500L is claimable per year from date of sign up, refreshed on the anniversary of your energy plan sign up date.

    Youll only 'save' up to a max of $150 per year, so take that into account when comparing elec providers. I have it, it worked out cheaper for me, but alot of retailers already offer $100 off anyways, and may have cheaper rates also.

      I generally get a better deal via 7-Eleven, and there are no Ampol stations anywhere near me (4061) but according to EME they had the best rates, so I jumped over to them after Energy Locals jacked everything by 30%.

      the comparison site has them at 85.80c/day Supply charge 28.27c/kWh Usage charge and 7c feed in tarrif NSW

      just wondering what your rates are?

      theyre the cheapest next to kogan for me. and im not seeing any downside other than 1.2c higher supply charge but way lower daily supply

    It's only the "foodary" ampols which in my experience are about 10c more expensive than everywhere else anyway.

    I'll add my 2c worth. The App also doesn't allow multiple discounts. eg. in qld, RACQ gives you 4c off ampol fuel.

        Toyota also offers 4c discount in their app. If your not a Toyota customer, just find a random Toyota VIN and claim it :)

      I'm finding that my everyday rewards discount doesn't work when I scan the ampol app.

        That is because Ampol Foodary officially only allows you to redeem one fuel discount per transaction. On this webpage for the Ampol Energy discount, it says:

        *Not valid in conjunction with any other Ampol fuel discount offers.

        Depending on how the checkout system is programmed, the checkout may automatically remove one fuel discount if the service station attendant scans two different discounts. Alternatively, the attendant may also manually remove one of the fuel discounts to ensure you only claim one. It definitely used to be possible to stack the Woolworths fuel discount with one other fuel discount at Ampol Foodary, but it looks like Ampol has been cracking down on this in recent times.

        However, if you go to EG Ampol (which is a different chain of service stations run by a different company within the Ampol network), they almost always allow you to redeem the Woolworths fuel discount with a maximum of two other fuel discount offers:

        • Spend in-store offer: spend $5 on eligible items in the convenience store, save 4c/L instantly.

        • EG and partner discount offer: fuel discount offers offered by EG or most of its partners (e.g. EG Club app discounts, Origin discounts, RACV discounts). Having said that, the RAA discount offer officially cannot be stacked with the Woolworths fuel discount.

          Thanks, that's good info. Looks like a choice between the 10c discount from ampol, or 4c + EDR points from EG.

            @Grandslam: You should be fine to earn Everyday Rewards points at Ampol Foodary and use the 10c/L Ampol Energy discount.

            It is only the Woolworths fuel discount stored on your Everyday Rewards card that cannot be stacked with 10c/L Ampol Energy discount at Ampol Foodary.

            I know, there is a bit of mental gymnastics involved with fuel discounts and loyalty programs!

    Ampol Foodary 91 in my suburb today, 116.6. 7 Eleven, 188.9. One suburb away, Pearl Energy 185.5.

    There are 15 service stations within 10 minutes of me and I haven't bought fuel from any of them this year.

        I wish I new.

        I live in Penrith, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Two weeks a ago I visited a mate near Parramatta 35klm east of me.

        91 was 229.9 in Penrith that day. St Marys 8klm away was 185.9. Having to travel through Wentworthville I saw 91 @ 171.1. That's 68.8 CPL difference.

        Yes, I filled up.

    I have signed up Ampol for my electricity

    But the 10c discount does not work at all

    It said clearly I can scan the QR code in store but the staff insisted I have to pay in the app (why on earth is there a QR code if I cannot pay in store???)

    Anyway I convinced the staff to scan the code and it still doesn’t work

      That is bizarre, because the Ampol website makes it clear you claim the Ampol Energy discount in-store or via FuelPay.

      If I were you, I would complain to the Ampol customer service team, as they helped me when I ran into a similar issue trying to use the myHyundai discount. The attendant insisted that the discount had to be presented through the Hyundai app, except there is no Hyundai app for the Hyundai I had… for some reason, the attendant did not like me having the QR code saved to my Photos app (even though there is “download QR code” option on the Hyundai website), and they did not like me presenting the QR code through the Hyundai website. When I complained to the Ampol customer care team, the team reached out to the site manager, who said that the attendant had been re-trained on the Hyundai discount.

        Just joined ampol energy and tried to scan the code in store, also failed. I will make a complaint later but I don't really care, because they are the cheapest electricity for me (based purely on the supply and unit rates).

        I was going to go with ENGIE to get the $400 credit and $140 cashrewards but when I signed up they said they would only switch at my next meter read which is 1 month away, so I will only be staying with ampol for a few weeks

    Appears plan has changed for me in Charlestown NSW. Supply about 98c and usage time of day 50 odd cents peak time
