    • Thanks for your inquiry.

I will recommend removing all existing panels and replacing it with a new 13kw or 10kw solar system.

      • How much does it cost to remove the old one?
Edit: saw on your post $20/panel.

Additional cost for 3 phase wiring?

Edit: not sure if my roof space can put up with this many panels. Currently 12 atm. Can I DM you my address for you to confirm?

    • Deffo get an upgrade mate.
I regret getting my 5KW. I wish I had gotten a larger inverter with more panels. Or at least, just more panels for more efficiency.

In summer, it's always stuck at producing 5kw. It's great. In Winter, <3 all the time cos the sun is so low.

  • decent deal, i got 13.2KW jinko panels with a (single phase)10kw sungrow inverter which some argue is either on same level as fronius or second best option in the market, some say its number 1 and better than fronius. for 6k installed single level terracotta roof, i wonder how much these guys woulda charged for it

  • Thanks for your inquiry.

The Quality of Sungrow and Fronius is both very good. People are more into the inverter which is made in Europe.

This OZB deal effectively sells Fronius at Sungrow price.

The value of smaller systems are not as good as 10kw or 13kw systems.
For example, a 6.6kw system is priced at $4k and a 8kw system at $5k.

  • Do you guys service Newcastle?

    • Thanks for your inquiry. We service Newcastle with $500 extra cost.

  • Hey mate,
Relatively local in Castle Hill. Is there a contact number to talk this over?
    Got a few questions.
Obviously will call tomorrow during business hours, but very keen if offer still available tomorrow morning

    • +1

I meant above the generic 1300 number FYI

      But essentially questions relate to:
      - I need removal of old pool solar tubes, assuming some sort of extra cost?
      - monitoring once installed?
      - Still be OK for government rebate of batteries in November? Specifically Tesla 3 power wall?
      - regarding the inverter, solar quotes says "Make sure you buy the Fronius GEN24 - it is better and quieter than its 'SnapINverter' predecessor. And if you choose to upgrade to batteries later, the inverter can be software-upgraded to control batteries at any time for $650 to $1000 depending on the inverter size". Is this what you are doing?

      • Thanks for your inquiry.

        • I need removal of old pool solar tubes, assuming some sort of extra cost? - Yes around $500 to remove and dispose of the pool solar tubes.

        • monitoring once installed? - The monitoring of the solar system generation is included as standard.

        • Still be OK for government rebate of batteries in November? Specifically Tesla 3 power wall? -YES

        • regarding the inverter, solar quotes says "Make sure you buy the Fronius GEN24 - it is better and quieter than its 'SnapINverter' predecessor. And if you choose to upgrade to batteries later, the inverter can be software-upgraded to control batteries at any time for $650 to $1000 depending on the inverter size". Is this what you are doing?
The Fronius inverter in the package deal is a solar inverter. The Fronius GEN24 inverter will cost $1500 more for the upgrade.

  • This is a great price. I had the same system size, panel type and Fronius inverter installed for nearly double the price in VIC earlier in the year

  • I have a 5.1kw system on 3 phase with a solar edge inverter and 1 X PW2.

Can I use another solar setup to charge the PW2 also? I find in winter due to the orientation of the panels the best we can do on a sunny day is 14kwh which if no-one is home is just enough to charge the PW2, so mostly with power usage during the day we only really see 50-60% full.

Then in summer the system is too undersize to power our 20kw ducted system.

    Do you install in Newcastle?

    • Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes we do install in Newcastle area.

The new solar system can also charge your Tesla battery.

Could you please email us your address and a photo of switchboard to [email protected] and we will email you with a proposal.

      • Ok thanks will do!

Hi I have terracotta roof tiles and am worried about damage that is caused during installation. Problem is I won't really know it's cracked until perhaps months later when we have a decent amount of rain and the water manages to reach the ceiling. How do you ensure to not damage the terracotta tiles during installation? If you do crack something, do you fix it?

    • This is the same concern I had when investigating solar installation a while back, from what I recall it's recommended to have a number of spare tiles on hand in case any of the existing tiles get damaged during installation.

Am certainly interested in seeing the OPs approach to this.

out of stock? i guess the first 30 people have claimed the sale.

    • Yeah 30 ozb ready to pounce on this deal…. Hmm

  • Do you install on decramastic roof ? If so , will that be the same price ?

  • Any chance there is a few spots left? super interested but its saying out of stock,

    • Thanks for your inquiry.

Sorry for being busy with doing all the hundreds of quote requests. Now we have proceeded with all quote requests.

All Sharp panels have been exhausted. If you are still interested in Jinko/Longi panels with Fronius inverter, please send us an email at [email protected] along with your switchboard photo and residential address.

      Thank you.

  • interested as well. Would sign up, any spots left ?

  • +1

Did anyone get their quote with an additional $1,000 on top because you now require an additional main circuit breaker? Not sure if this is a forced upsell.

    • +1

i didnt my quote was $5900. It possibly depends on your current circuit board?

    • Mine was an extra 1k due to multiple roof sizes.

      • Thanks for sharing. I don’t know if these extra charges are warranted or not. I’d be interested in hearing other people’s experiences too.

        • +1

I got quoted the stated deal price of $5,990. My house is a new build about 2.5 yr old (don’t know if this makes a difference?)

          • @Cheesecake99: I received a quote but for $5990 for a 9.96kw system.

            • @nollidge: do you have 3phase?

            • @nollidge: @nollidge I believe OP noted that the price doesn’t change even if your roof can’t fit the full 13.3kw system. My roof can fit it. It would have been a better deal if they could pro-rate the price for your situation but perhaps the deal is dependent on their supplier pricing/terms

  • I saw in ACA that in the near future we would have to pay electricity company to export electricity back into the grid?
So it is like a negative FIT ?

  • Hi OP, is this deal something that can still be discussed?
Do you offer optimiser as well?
A portion of our roof is shaded by a big gumtree.

  • have you done any work in Newington 2127?

  • Ahh.. that one day I got busy with workload and didn’t check the Ozbargain and lost the offer. Any chance you will be doing this again this year?

  • @GREEN IOT is this deal still going on?

Haven't received a reply via email.

    • Thanks for your inquiry.

Sorry for being busy with doing all the hundreds of quote requests. Now we have proceed all quote requests.

The Sharp panels have been exhausted. If you are still interested in Jinko/Longi panels with Fronius inverter, please send us an email at [email protected] along with your switchboard photo and residential address.

      Thank you.

  • has anybody proceeded on their quote and paid the deposit? im still researching and wondering if this is too good to be true? cheers

    • Im trying to figure the same out.

All the replies i got posting in an energy group was that this is too good to be true and should realistically cost 2x haha.

Inverter is older model, not hybrid so cant add battery, most didnt rate sharp panels highly either (and theyre a lower wattage).

      • yeah i think i read that post and comments. 1 person is also saying that the SA address of the company seems to be bogus as its for a recruiter company. maybe OP can clarify that?

      • +1

        Thansk for your feedback.

The promotion is by our supplier of Sharp panels had a heavy discount on Sharp panels as well as Fronius inverter.

The discount is almost 50% so I agree the realistically cost 2x without this promo.

All Sharp panels have been allocated at the moment. So unfortunately we are not able to get more Sharp panels.

Also, just to clarify the majority of batteries such as Tesla work with any solar system (AC coupled battery), so you can add a battery directly to this solar system.

Fronius Gen24 hybrid inverter only works with BYD battery (DC coupled battery).

Hey, they came out to install last Friday (slightly later than quoted) but I wasn't bothered.

Very professional and pleasant to deal with.

          System looks good and neat.

          Would recommend.

  • +1

i got mine installed last friday and so far everything is good! 10kw with Fronius 8.2 single phase on 2 orientations, yesterday it generated 42kwh and today is 26kwh due to the clouds i assume. Super satisfied with how fast they replied to my inquiries and even accomodated my request to install asap. Thanks for this deal OP! 😄

    • Thanks for your feedback Cha.

    • Did you get Sharp panels or something else @clartan2015

      • +1

yeah i got the sharp panels. 24x 415w

    • does your app work at night? mine says data transfer interrupted

      • yeah same. i did a quick google and there is a setting in the inverter "Logging during night-time hours". Mine is currently disabled

        https://www.fronius.com/en/solar-energy/home-owners/contact/…
Logging during night hours is disabled
The setting "Logging during night-time hours" is set on the user interface of the SnapINverter (Data-/Hybridmanager). To enable the feature:

        1. Connect to the user interface of your SnapINverter (Data-/Hybridmanager) (see: "Accessing the user interface of the SnapINverter via WLAN" or "Accessing the user interface of the via Ethernet").
        2. Go to "Settings" —> "Fronius Solar.web".
        3. Set "Logging during night-time hours" to "Yes".
        4. Save the change by clicking on the check mark in the upper right corner.
        • +1

ahh thanks i was worried it stopped working. Managed to produce 65kwh of energy today

  • Has anyone else got it installed or visited their office? They seems to be using a freeware to generate quotes- not saying they can’t but just makes me wonder what’s the catch

    • Hi Bel,

Thanks for your inquiries. We ran out of all high-res map data due to the high volume of inquiries and the map is back from 1st Aug. Please send us a quote request if you need a solar proposal.

Our office is 27/14 Loyalty Rd North Rocks. More than welcome to visit us 9am-6pm Monday -Friday.

  • Has anyone had reviews on
    Jinko/Longi panels?

I received an updated quote due to exhausted sharp panel allocation.
Price is significantly higher and new Gen24 Fronius inverter.

    $7.6k
