  • Just buy some Iconic gift cards and it's free money as it's currently 100% cashback.

    • Please elaborate.
It appears there's 100% CB on the $5 it costs for a $40 off $135 voucher.

      • His recent post in the classified section explains all.

        • +1

Yep, you can just buy these to meet the spend requirement. No need to use them.

  • SB saying a big F U to the Westpac customers

    • Stranger thing is these banks are all part of Westpac 🤷🏾‍♂️

      • -1

I think it's just frustrating Westpac branded customers

      • Part of Westpac Banking Group, yes. However Westpac Bank and St George Bank are run entirely by different team, including their customer strategy team.

    • +3

      get both

    • +1

      There's a $3 back on $50 Westpac one too (note 6% vs 6.67% bonus)

    • +2

Wouldn't it be Westpac saying F U to its customers?

I'm sure Shopback would want as many and as high % deals as possible with all the banks. It's Westpac who says no…. No?

      • Who do you think is a major shareholder of shopback

        • I don't think this means what you think it means.

If they're a major stakeholder that gives them even more power to dictate what SB does. The fact they're pushing their "off-brand" credit cards more than their main one suggests a very clear strategy on Westpac's part to specifically make the Westpac deals worse.

Maybe test the market? Maybe get more people on their other branded cards? Maybe the margins are lower on westpac? Dunno. But doesn't seem like it's SB making these decisions in this case.

This needs more explanation. I have no idea what it means…

Here 10+ times a day for over a decade. This title made zero sense.

        • +3

This title has been used consistently for the past three months, search "StG" in OzBargain…

        • Your comment reminds me of my sister and how she studies. She sits in front of the book all day, but nothing registers lol.

    • PU may rearrange the order.

    • I do ask questions but I normally Google it first and than ask the question if I’m struggling

    • Hi

St George, Bank of Melbourne, Bank SA

    • Surely this should be in the deal description…

      • +4

It wouldn't fit, and don't call me Shirley.

  • What’s the best account to open to take advantage of these?

    • +1
      • It all depends on what's more convenient for you, or what state you live in (in case you need a physical branch nearby).

Bank SA also has fee free transaction accounts and a no annual fee credit card, much like St. George.

So, if you're in SA, Bank SA has promotions for cheaper Fringe Tix and Royal Show promos.

  • Does it work with any [StG, BoM, BSA] card, for example Travel Money card from St.George?
How can the offer be activated?

  • Cheers got $75 super swap

  • Question, if you got st george card and bank sa card can you activate both individually ?

    • +1

      Nope.

      • Why not if the promos are available in both lounges? (I don't see a Bank SA lounge though in my SB). Link both cards, activate both promos, spend required amount making sure you select appropriate payment card for each promo. I do this with WBC and StG cards and I am getting cashbacks for both.

        • +1

These 3 are part of the same lounge even if they show up separately, someone has tried in the past and it didn't work.

          • +1

@Hiphopopotamus: But I believe you can do one of these 3 and Westpac and receive the bonus. Is this correct?

  • No more eBay gift card?

    • +2

ShopBack Tech Swap has eBay and is 2.5% cashback.

  • I just bought a Bunnings gift card on this. Doesn't it quality for this offer?
