Challenging to find anything on iherb. Any search i try returns 900 products.

    • +7

That sounds like the opposite of it being challenging to find anything. You have 900 things to choose from.

    • Doesn’t seem hard then, you found 900 products.
      Edit :-( too slow

Yes!! Im the winner of the witty comment competition! Better luck next time.

You mean it's challenging to decide what to purchase.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Paradox_of_Choice

    • Well, the issue of choice is one thing. The issue of rubbish search is another.

I did a search for "cranberry powder", both with and without quotes.

There were over 300 results including "spirulina powder" and "celery juice". So, the vast majority useless results.

Can vouch for them, almost ships as fast as Amazon US via AU.

    • +1

Some things are also cheaper on Amazon so double check, paid more than half price for something during prime week

      • +1

Agree, but most of the stuff I find iHerb to be a lot cheaper and they almost always have vouchers. Just need to hit that 80$ target for free shipping else I go amazon.

      • -1

Some US only things were significantly discounted by Amazon during Prime Week so I ordered those instead of iHerb like I usually do. Mainly all I need now is Melatonin but that is not going to take me to the free shipping threshold. I could look for nootropics but I suspect many of the more interesting ones either won't be available or can't be shipped to Oz.

If you want to see what experimental substances the cool kids are taking, start with https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/

Some of them are even using prescription drugs off-label, like Methylene Blue. It was the first synthetic anti-malarial and is good at taking down fungi; people add it to fish tanks for the latter purpose (aquarium grade has impurities and isn't suitable for human use). Side effects of human ingestion: blue urine, blue eyes (Sclera). There are even a few books on the topic, like "The Ultimate Guide to Methylene Blue: Remarkable Hope for Depression, COVID, AIDS & other Viruses, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Cancer, Heart Disease, … & The Great Transition to Metabolic Medicine". Warning: Don't jump onto the nootropics bandwagon without checking research from at least 2 sources.

Seems like they increase the prices on some items before these sitewide sales. I just had a look at an item that is around $28 now. Last week it was under $20

probably the cheapest source of lactase

    • I'm lactase intolerant

    • Any recommendations? Having a similar problem to the above, too much choice! Currently take Lacteeze and stock up when it's <$25 for a 120 pack (60 doses).

      • Which brand do you take and does it work for you? Tried the 9k dose ones years back and it didn't seem to make any difference for me personally. Saw 20k ones at chemist warehouse recently and wondered if it's worth testing though it's pretty expensive.

I find this to be the cheapest I can find on the internet per fcc, and seems to work well for me as well.

        • Do you find it works for you? ie does it completely prevent post-dairy symptoms? How many do you take and when?

Good place to buy most supps at a much cheaper rate especially melatonin.

      Any suggestions on melatonin please

This one is a decent strength with nice flavour. Child friendly too:

Isn't 10mg too much? I've heard even <1mg works for sleep aid.

          • @KiKH: Bah not really tbh from experience.

          • @KiKH: Use a tablet cutter.

          • +2

@KiKH: 10mg is too much, i bought it in the past. Now purchased 5mg

          • @KiKH: 5mg works well for me at a poofteenth of the price of 2 X 2mg Circadin.

          • @KiKH: I find it’s just right for me. I tend to be a bit of an insomniac.

        • +2

If you need 10mg to get to sleep you got bigger problems

          • @Ozb101: Usually doesn't really work coz I use my phone in bed 🤣

        • +1

I've been buying them for years but the last two times they haven't dissolved so I have to just chew them. They also don't seem to work for me as a result. I got a refund the last time and now I buy these 5mg gummies and they are the best I've used. I take them at 10PM. By 10:30PM I'm asleep straight through to 6:30AM

      • I recommend a sustained release version like Natrol 3mg.

I wish we had a free market on melatonin like we do on Vitamin E. Prices would be significantly lower than circadin. None of the hypnotics (eg zolpidem/stillnox, bellsorma/suvorexant) are PBS subsidized by the nanny state, even though Insomnia is a DSM psychiatric disorder. If you want big pharma sedation at PBS prices you need to get a benzodiazepine prescription (difficult nowdays) or an antihistamine like Doxepin (quetiapin and Mirtazapine have too long a half life).

  • cheapest organic oatstraw i can find on the web. Local supplier either no stock or too expensive!

    • Are you a horse?

Brilliant prices on 5mg Melatonin compared to Australian 2mg Circadin. Very fast delivery.

    • Plus you don't have to be over 55 to buy it from iHerb!

      • You just need to be old enough to use the internet

  • Any recommendations for multivitamin gummies?

  • No idea why, but not everything in my cart discounted. Meant to be store wide

  • I know it's probably not gonna get approved but I used cashback for my purchase too. figured what's the harm in trying yk?
