    how do you use the accor hotel one? can i do it online, can i do it at the hotel when i check in?

    also how about international stays? im going to japan, can i use it there?

      found the answer, its only here, NZ, and Fiji

      Welcomed at over 210 hotels, resorts and apartments across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, the AccorHotels Gift Card can be used as payment towards accommodation and food and beverage charges when staying at one of our participating properties.

      food and beverage charges? can i eat at the hotel without staying there and use the gift card?

        oh, found my answer again, lol.

        You must be a staying guest of the hotel to use your Accor Gift Card.
        Unfortunately; the card cannot be used at the food and beverage outlets or spas of an AccorHotels property when you are NOT staying as a guest.

        I think i will pass on the gift cards this week, and hope that this information will help a fellow ozbargainer. :)

        sorry may I know where do you find this information? I found a participating hotel list at the website https://all.accor.com/a/en/experiences/participating-hotel-g… and there is no hotel in Australia. Did I make any mistakes?

      maybe still an issue with the crowdstrike outage the other day? I made a purchase on amazon on the weekend and the cc still hasn't been debited (It was only about $3 after gift cards balance used, but nothing showing as yet and I have the item)

    Anyone has issue with left over GC restaurant choice? Let say you have $1.30 on the GC, and you go to restaurants they refuse to split bills $1.30 and the rest with other card.

    I have this experience with preeze, i won’t buy anymore. My preeze GC has less than a dollar and everyone refuse to accept it

        Sorry it was Special GC, this stupid GC can be use only in participated restaurants and they don’t accept split payment. Never again for SPECIAL gc

          If you own a business or in accounts payable role see if it works with any supplier like CCA. Thats how i clear out tiny balances from special.

    Went to both my local Woolies stores and neither had any restaurant choice gift cards. Why bother advertising when they can’t even ensure stocking their stores.

    Found some at a third store but they came up as an error when scanned at the POS. Couldn’t purchase any from there. Has anyone had any luck purchasing these this morning?

      I've received half a dozen messages this morning from people who were unable to buy the Restaurant Choice cards due to an error at the checkout so it seems to be a widespread issue.

      I found some. I scanned the visible small barcode and went through POS errors of needing to scan the long barcode and having to rip off the cardboard conceal to find it (WTF). Then after scanning two, each subsequent one had to be authorised (WTF). Staff member warned that any issues with activation would need to be dealt with at the service desk and did I really want to continue on self serve. Got through it though.

    Has anyone used one of the Accor cards? T&c's say can only be used towards "any publicly available rate" wondering if that includes the member price (which is free to join) doesn't seem worth it if you can't even get the small member discount.

        Interesting, I called Accor and they said they can only be used for bookings if made through them over the phone and only the full public rate ( no 5/10% member discount allowed) seems like I won't be loading up :(
