Received this email from EG this morning and found two 6c fuel vouchers in my app. (Amount varies / targeted to eligible users. Discount is a one-off personal offer)

Stacks with:

  • Woolworths fuel discount: $0.04/L discount with $30 or more spend at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro. ($0.06/L discount in Tasmania)

  • EG in-store spend discount: $0.04/L discount with $5 or more spend on eligible items in the EG convenience store

Terms and conditions:

The up to 14c fuel discount is made up of one 6c per litre EG Club fuel offer, 4c per litre Woolworths Supermarket fuel discount voucher and instant 4c per litre discount when you spend $5 in-store at EG. Aforementioned offers can be redeemed separately or in conjunction with each other for a maximum saving of 14c per litre on fuel in a single transaction. Purchases of AdBlue at the pump, telecommunications (including mobile & internet recharge, handsets and starter kits), gift cards (including iTunes cards), Ampol Cash, Ampol Cash Digital, lottery, smoking products, accessories, food at third party pay points and cash outs are excluded from the qualifying $5 purchase amount. All offers redeemable on a maximum fuel purchase of 150 litres.

Offer cannot be redeemed on purchases of LPG or purchases using an Ampol Card. The 6c EG Club fuel discount offer is a one off personal offer to you and will only be available on your EG Club App account. Only one 6c EG Club fuel discount offer can be redeemed per transaction. Offer expires 05/08/2024 at 11:59pm.

      I highly doubt it.

      There are three different types of discount offers at EG Ampol:

      1. Woolworths fuel discount

      2. In-store spend discount

      3. EG Club and partner discount (e.g. EG Club, Origin, RACV, RAA).

      The Origin fuel discount offer terms and conditions clearly state it can only be stacked with (1) and (2), but is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

      Additionally, this person confirmed a while ago that they could not stack the EG Club discount with the Origin discount. Other people have reported on other EG Ampol discount deals that the checkout stopped them from stacking multiple EG Club and partner discounts in the same transaction. I even had one attendant once tell me that I cannot stack an EG Club discount offer with the Origin discount offer.

      The offer in this deal is only available through the EG Club app, so it is safe to say it cannot be stacked with any other EG Club and partner discount. You can always give it a go if you want…

            @skillet: Usually Woolworths + Partner Discount + 1 of either EG Club (EG App Only) or $5 spend in store offer.

      The attendant at EG AMPOL said I could use Origin as well as EG 6 cents and Woolies 4 cents but her system kept showing $0 off for that scan so it would seem their system does not allow the extra Origin 4 cents off.

      It's more expensive, but in the stores I've been to they have 2 x 2L for $7 or something, so it works out cheaper if you fill up more than 25 litres of fuel and use the 4c per litre discount.

    How it works ? Is it same with Ampol App ? Do we need to go inside to show the discount code and tap our credit card for payment OR we just use App to complete the discount and payment ?

      Activate the voucher right before making payment at the counter. It is a barcode to be scanned just like your Everyday Rewards card.

    Does anyone know the likelihood that MOST EG Ampol sites accept the 3% discount e-gift cards that are available from the usual Woolworths Everyday Mobile portal etc? Just the standard e-gift card for EG Ampol? It should work everywhere, pretty much? And can stack with this deal? Thanks!

      All EG Ampol service stations accept gift cards issued by Woolworths Group that list EG as a participating retailer (i.e. EG gift cards, Essentials gift cards, WISH gift cards). You may see language saying that participating EG Ampol service stations accept those gift cards, but that language appears to be left over from the days where EG ran service stations that sold fuel supplied by Chevron and did not accept any Woolworths fuel discounts nor Everyday Rewards. You should be fine to stack those gift cards with any fuel discounts.

      Additionally, all EG Ampol service stations accept AmpolCash gift cards (digital and physical), and you should be fine to stack them with AmpolCash gift cards (except for the Rest Super discount offer, which officially excludes AmpolCash as a permitted payment method).

          I can confirm I paid using a Woolies WISH egift card today after getting both EG (6cents) and Woolies (4cents) discounts.

    Up to 12c

    The hard part is it's never been easy. It will need the staff to manually input. And some stores are not allowed to stack. Mist. People just give up at/after first try. Unless the app can stack all the discounts for you, otherwise the extra 6c/L or $1.8/30L is not worthwhile, considering it's a 1L bonus for all the hassles.
