Boderry Landmaster - 38mm Titanium, Sapphire, NH35 from US$79.90 (~A$120) Delivered @ Boderry Watches, China

ADMIRAL15

I followed the link from Jody's review of the Boderry Admiral GMT in which he had a 15% off code and saw the new Landmaster all-Titanium field watch advertised at pre-launch pricing. On a hunch, I tried the code and it worked! The special pricing is good for another day but I expect these will pop up on Ali Express at similar prices in the future anyway.

EDIT: pre-launch pricing has ended but it's gone up by only US$5 for the nylon and US$6 for the bracelet, happily the code continues to work. This makes it still an attractive option if you're in the market for a titanium field watch.

This new model has "…a unique glass tube luminous design" that's meant to increase visibility in low light. I don't think it's tritium but they claim it should be better; additionally, the black and green dials also have traditional Japanese C1 lume on the Arabic numerals as well. Apart from that you still get a decent looking all-titanium watch with sapphire and NH35 for under US$80 for the nylon strap, or the Ti bracelet plus a nylon strap for US$103.70 (~A$155). Comes in three colourways (all links to bracelet option):

Black dial, green tubes, green lume - https://www.boderry.com/products/landmaster-titanium-automat…
Green dial, white tubes, green lume - https://www.boderry.com/products/landmaster-titanium-automat…
White dial, orange tubes, no extra lume - https://www.boderry.com/products/landmaster-titanium-automat…

  • I was just looking at their website. Thanks, I'll probably grab one.

  • I don't need another watch… I don't need another watch…

    the crown is ridiculous imo

  • Gosh, all these bills to pay, and you show me another watch I immediately want…

  • Has anyone got a shipping notification yet, or know of a specific release date? I got an order confirmation none days ago, that alludes to a further shipping email.

Website says they normally dispatch within 48hrs, and I can't see anything on the product page clearly indicating a release date for this model.

Same here. I’ve sent them a request for an update and awaiting their reply. I understand if it was a pre-order but there’s no indication this was the case.

No shade to OP, but this shop's service has been pretty ordinary:

    • 22 July - Ordered
    • 2 August - Email at 11 day mark given no shipping notice, even though the website says this comes <48hrs. Spits out a shipping number.
    • 9 August - Followup email one week later, as the tracking number stuck at label-printed/awaiting collection stage. Fairly quickly emailed back and told parcel tracking info will be updated next week.
    • 16 August - Third followup, another week later and now at the four week mark. Still not sent, and it is now out of stock on website. Boderry responds "We are pleased to inform you that your watch has been shipped and is currently in transit. The logistics information will be updated shortly, and you can expect to receive the watch within the next week."

Shipping still shows at the label stage a day later. I'd be fairly understanding if this was a pre-order issue, but this isn't what they've said via email. Contemplating a charge back if not obviously in transit by end of this week.

    • It was shipped on 22 August. Exactly a month after the order.

Guess that's a good outcome, but being lied to in 3x customer interactions rather than just getting an honest delay message from the outset leaves a sour taste.
