I think the older 4k Sony one for $30.12 is good enough :) "although the bluray & digital code may not work.
My Predator Bluray steelbook from the US worked fine on my PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X using the "bluray player App" so maybe consoles can bypass region locking.
ALSO worth noting.. This is a (NEW) 2024 reprint.. They could be using the 2020 release Studio Canal version of the disk.
@ vid_ghost - It’s not worth noting at all, this U.S. Sony 4K Steelbook release isn’t using the StudioCanal version. The U.S. Sony 4K version is the inferior release, the Sony version has had sharpening filtering applied to it, and the highlights are blown out, the colour timing is different to the StudioCanal version and the encoding quality on the U.S. Sony disc isn’t as good either… The StudioCanal version was worked on by David MacKenzie/Fidelity in Motion, who is highly regarded as being the best person and company in the world for doing high quality disc mastering, authoring and encoding:

The 1080p Blu-ray in the U.S. 4K set is region A locked.
I purchased the StudioCanal 4K version in 2020 or 2021 for $31, and I believe it was on special recently for $27.

I've not had any USA Blurays purchased from amazon US / via AU "NOT" work for me yet. They all play fine.
But i have been using my two consoles to play them and I've never changed settings of my region on those consoles.
I have a feeling that Sony and Microsoft dont care about region locking anymore and the latest version of their bluray APP's just lets you play everything.

Yeah I saw a video which said that the steelbook 25th version (which is the only version with Dolby Vision) is rising in price. Don't be afraid to treat yourself next time you are tempted.

If you're more keen on image quality than the steelbook, have a look at the Studio Canal transfer of the Fifth Element its a must better transfer than this Sony transfer. But alas no steelbook…
Or if you're a major fan like myself just buy both and be done with it ;)
