At this price point i would be wanting the QC with 4k resolution

  • Beware thin bezels like this. I had a similar Dell, which died by just bending on a side from full height to just half of own height. It was ok to fall on the screen, but once it happen on the screen side it was enough for critical damage.

    • which died by just bending on a side from full height to just half of own height

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but it sounds like you bent it in half. I've also never dropped a monitor before, but I wouldn't expect any of them to survive.

  • click price beat for $394

  • Just bought a couple via JB Hi-Fi Chat and got it down to $376 + $10 Perks

  • For the 4k version, you can get it for $399 at Dell Australia.

I got 1 pair of S2722QC almost 2 years ago now, they were too demanding for my aging PC.
Then I got MBP M1 to power them. The monitors aren't 100% compatible with the M1 - flickers like crazy after 2 month use. Need to hard reboot the monitors to recover (ie: unplug the power, leave for 1 or 2 hrs, then power it back on and go into monitor settings and do a reset).

  • Bought 4 of these in 2022, due to the ultra thin bezels I am almost certain there is a design flaw with the way they designed the backlight.

2 out of 4 (the pair I used the most) developed a backlight halo (almost 1cm thick around all edges) within a few months of use, visible at night and a bit annoying.

Maybe it was just 2022 builds, but I wouldn't be surprised if they all develop the backlight halo effect eventually unless Dell changed the internals.

Wouldn't recommend. I suspect the gaming series will be similar, anything with these new ultra thin bezels is going to be risky.

Then if you return them, Dell just sends out refurbished screens, which is a whole crap shoot all over again.

To top it off, resale value on these is next to zero, took me over a year to get rid of any for a reasonable price because kids only want high refresh rate screens now.
