Great price imo, fulfilled by Amazon AU as well.

A watch is a men's jewelry ;-)
You can wear some watches as jewelries or accessories on both hands :P
Now I have 3 … Thanks Ozb …
I recently bought CASIO MRW200H-1B from WatchNerd's post:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856601
I have Citizen Eco-Drive BM7450-81L as my first watch, and then Huawei smartwatch GT-Runner (better accuracy for heart rate, 1 week battery etc. than many other brands even Samsung Galaxy Watch 4/5/6 and Garmin).
I was under the impression that my earrings, necklaces, rings, watches, nipple piercings, etc. all counted as my "men's" jewelry? And my wife's watch was also part of hers…
Jewelry or accessories, it's up to everyone's interpretation
No, you are wrong. If you want to wear women's jewellery though, that's your choice.
Men can wear all those things in they same way they can wear lingerie and pencil skirts, you do you.
Probably trolling but I don't think you can tell the time on a bracelet, bangle or a set of earings :P
So it is more of an accessory with an intended use. You don't actually need a lot of things in life.
There is a Motorola concept phone as a bracelet and can show the time ;-)

Now I have 3
Thanks for letting us know. Can you please share on youtube that you wear 3 watches
@neoleo: Cool man, can you post it this on youtube that you wear this to work or any place
You’ve only got 2 feet as well. Does that mean you’ve only got 1 pair of shoes?
He can put more shoes on his hands
Are these the ones that are usually $600+?
Good looking watches, WN will be pleased that the case is also metal not resin ☺️.
Good website to check features of G-Shocks:
https://shockbase.org/watches/watch_dyn.php?model=GMW-B5000D…
Has multi-date, solar, Bluetooth, auto EL. Surely a basic stop watch. DLC coated but I don't think you'd want to drop it on the road or anything (kind of defeats the purpose and is more a bling watch).
Kind of leaning towards a Rangeman GW9400 myself (tough and Iconic, lacking a few of the modern features but heaps of stuff I'd never use).
Yes it is. This is a bloody good price. And an amazing watch. I have been dailying mine lately. Can't fault it.
I love mine. It scratches fairly easily so I'm thinking about getting it sandblasted for something different.
That's always my biggest concern. Good to know
Scratch … Yeah G-SHOCK watches are still strong after falling. But scratch is another thing …
Sounds interesting, wonder how much that would cost?
The metal G-shocks look cool, chunky, heavy and blingy but too pretty to drop.
Would be fine if you look after your stuff, just can't bash it around like G-shocks are intended. These are prone to hairline scratches being a polished surface. Scratched up G's are cool too though as they've been warn and not babied.
It's still tempting at under $500 for a JDM. They do wear a bit big (the end links turn out not down), so will have a bit of a a gap on 6.5 wrist but is doable.
I'm not sure of the price to sandblast, it couldn't be more than a $100 surely. I have no idea though. Someone at work has a sandblasting setup so I might ask them to do it.
I find the metal bracelet too heavy for every day use so I wear my B5000 G2 way more. It's a beauty.
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRv1SU-…
Nice! Tend to agree, too heavy and precious.
I think those metal ones with the resin bands are a good compromise, and contrast with the different colours.
@G-rig: Thanks! Yeah the rubber straps are the go. I've bought a spare from that shop in the UK (Tiktox) which I plan to fit onto the B5000D-1.
The metal bands slip around a lot more on the wrist too which can get a bit much. It might not bother some people though.
G-Shocks are beater watches, unless you have a very limited, irreplaceable collab version of course. Wear those scratches with a badge of honour.
I always wished these were brushed instead of polished
Have the black version. Very nice as a every day wear. Don't mind the scratches, but black doesn't seem to scratch that easily…
Under $500 is a fantastic price. These are Made in Japan as well.
What model code is that one
Pretty sure it's this one. Got it for around $780 around 4-5 years ago….
What does it say on it? What’s the full model number trying to work out the black version
Can someone educate me why and wat that looks like It belongs to the “cheap” rack on 1990s is Worth $400?
Made in Japan
Reinforced water resistance for everyday use: 20 bar = 200 m
Bluetooth compatible: Radio solar compatible with 6 stations around the world (Japan x 2, North America, UK, Germany, China)
Resistant to shock and vibration due to its shock resistant construction
Thanks for taking time to reply, mate. The radio thing is interesting. So it’s solar powered?
Also when you say radio, do you mean Bluetooth radio? Or like actual AM/FM? If so, does that mean it has a speaker or does it connect your headphones with Bluetooth?
Just click the link and look a the specs if you're actually interested.
Radio = atomic clock, syncs to radio towers to keep the time accurate (useless in Australia).
It has Bluetooth so that's better, syncs to app 4 times a day.
@G-rig: Ohhh okay that’s sick! Very useful actually! Thanks!
If you want cheaper Casio watches, check WatchNerd post below:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856601
I bought Casio MRW200H-1B. Good looking and so cheap at $36.49 :)
https://www.amazon.com.au/CASIO-MRW200H-1B-Unisex-Black-Anal…
Don't forget, buy through Cashrewards 15% cashback. Today is the last Amazon Prime Week.
Anyone can get a new Amazon account to get the free trial Amazon Prime. After purchasing, just cancel the free trial (will last until the free trial has ended).
That link is cursed….
Jokes aside, thanks mate! I got the classic f91-w. I think that’s really the extent for me without a watch having health sensors on it…
15% CR would be good, seems like it's a goer for Men's watches. $30 cap so would bring the metal G to ~$461 if I'm not mistaken.. hmm.
I'd get an AE1200 world time of some description over the F91W. They feel too cheap and the bands don't sit well (personal experience).
Or those GBD200 are worth the extra, and just turn the smart watch stuff off.
If you 90s soul and got money to burn lol
Free return, go ahead :P
I'll be honest, all of these features are great, but is that the only way it differs from the cheaper versions of the stainless steel gshocks?
Hnnngg….
The 9% cashback (capped at $30) through Shopback applies to this as well? So $461.59 after cashback?
Yes. It's sold direct by Amazon anyway. But better 15% today through Cashrewards. I always use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone and always tracked successfully. No problem for me with any cashback companies.
Seems like it’s silver and gold only. If only they had some of the other cool colours too or black…
https://gshock.casio.com/intl/products/type/full-metal/gmw-b…
That black one looks cool (GMW-B5000MB-1)
Cheaper is better on here though :).
This or Apple Watch
None both
Usually people who want Apple Watch has iPhone already. Not good with Android phones as ECG can only work with iPhone. If you don't have iPhone, better other smartwatch.
The watch in this post is different than smartwatch.
Like comparing an apple and orange,
both are fruit, but same same but different
Must resist…
Resistant to bargain or your desire :P ?
Is it a need or want ? According to your budget?
I have lived by OzB code: Buy now Think later😬😬
Don’t know where it fits between need or want😛
Free return. Go ahead :P
great watch, but not for small wrist, check the link below
https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/are-full-metal-casioaks-m…
Nice one, that's a handy link. I've decided against it (6.5" wrist), it just wouldn't sit well (and a bit precious for a G-shock).
I think you'd want to have >7.5" wrist for a good fit. Some people put on resin strap but that defeats the purpose.
They are still expensive so may look at some cheaper models.
Wow out of stock now!!!
It's been at this price for 2 days and as soon as I post here it's ozbargained!
Thanks all who enjoyed and bought due to this post :)
That watch seems like it could sweep a bunch of bingo-loving grannies off their orthopaedic shoes!
Is it made of platinum or summat?
I do not understand the appeal.
Gold Color is $20 cheaper https://www.amazon.com.au/Casio-G-Shock-Digital-Transparent-…
Starbuy have got a gold one in the weekend sale on rubber for $199 as well.
Less specs & not solar though.
At that price I'd get a custom made CasioRoyale or Casioak from SKXMOD I reckon.
Not even close.
How are you going to get solar and bluetooth with your mod?
At a 10 year battery life that's easily replaceable (4 screws), and a few seconds drift every month, they really seem like miniscule benefits. Spend 10 seconds a year changing the time back 1 minute, and a few minutes a decade replace a battery.
I bought my metal casioak in gunmetal for $~480 in Japan.
I heard a good kit cost $200?
Whatever floats your boat mate. The mod is no match to the original. I take the genuine metal any day. Don't try dressing up a pig when you can't afford the real deal.
@mg_k: The SKXMOD are just a better version that's 100% customisable to individual tastes with high quality parts and the original module inside. It's about $400 for a complete custom-built watch which is less than you paid for your basic gunmetal one.
@AustralianCyber: Shorter lug to lug would be the only thing better.
What batteries Casio watches use that last 10 years?
Maybe you read from the comment above, it's for solar powered watch. Usually the battery in solar powered watches can last longer than non solar powered watch.
I have solar powered Citizen watch still under warranty. The battery may last more than 10 years or even more like above 20 years (someone said in reviews). Maybe depends on how we maintain the watch. Don't keep solar powered watches in the dark for very very long time (around 6 months for my Citizen watch).
I was asking about normal watches with 10 year battery life ones.
Yeah some Casios are advertised having 10 year battery (eg. AE1200).
Solar is the way to go but either way it's fine and easy/cheap to change a battery yourself when the time comes.
Reminded myself that I only have 2 wrists…….
