I'm planning to get one of these cards to get the Shopback bonus offers and I'm wondering if they're all the same. i.e., does it make a difference which card I get (in relation to Shopback).

They have offers for Westpac, and separate offers available to the other group of cards/brands. So each of the sub-brands are equal, but if you wanted every offer you would need a Westpac card too.
Which is better: Westpac or the others?
get a westpac and one of the other three - westpac has its own page and other three has a combined one.
The others is better.
I have a westpac card and honestly the offers aren't that good. The others get way better deals.
The Westpac offers used to be good. Now now they kinda suck and play second fiddle STG/BSA etc. They basically just push the good deals to get the banks new customers then change it up once its plateau. I guess its effective, but it kinda sucks for end users unless you are happy to keep having so many accounts everywhere.
Get on board
- got westpac
- barely any offers
- got bank sa
- now happy
if i was looking i'd get one from (BoM, BSA, StG) but knowing my luck westpac would start getting most deals again
all banks are free if you've got concession (no brainer, get both)
bonus banks have free accounts without concession so start with them
opps… might just be bank sa
Which of StG/BoM/BSA have fee-free accounts? Online activation of your card?
Apparently the StG card needed to be activated in-branch which is absurd, but I am only going off hearsay.
i might be wrong about all but bank sa didnt have any fee
Everyday Account + Visa Debit Card
Every dollar counts! Pay zero account-keeping fees on your Complete Freedom transaction account.
im housebound so definitely no in-branch activation for me with westpac and bank sa
wanted to sign up year ago but couldnt find birth certificate number, finally found it and could sign up online
I already got stung with Westpac making me come into branch for ID verification. Possibly my pension card?
Was not pleased with a 120km round trip for that
way back recall banks say government benefit paid in your bank account with them was what they use to prove eligibility
guess they cannot verify numbers like TAFE and pharmacists, but might be other reason they needed to see you
needed to go in branch if i couldn't find birth certificate, thankfully found it otherwise miss out on these deals like missed out on all the phone contract offers 🥺
I got St George and Bank SA accounts (this year).
St George required me to go to (Bank SA, because we don't have St George in SA) to pick the card up with ID.
Bank SA mailed me the card.
Both fee free.
Westpac offers are a separate category to BOM/BSA/StG
