Different use cases I suspect. Beginners and those that just want it to have minimum problems would probably be better with the Anker. I'm intrigued by the AI camera.
Sorry what? Bambu are known for doing one major thing different from everyone else… Making printers that 'just work'.
edit: I agree with first comment, you for sure should look at A1 instead.
Huh?! I'm not a bambu fanboy or anything but beginners and those that just want it to have minimum problems are exactly the people that should buy the A1.
It's really hard to see the value in this one. Many better options for similar money.
Bambu printers are the most beginner friendly printers available.
For this price you would be silly not to get A1 AMS combo or even two A1 Mini. Especially with the new reduced pricing.
The ecosystem of Makerworld with presliced and verified models makes it one button printing.
Bambu X1C user here. 800hours of print time and 0 issues so far. Would assume same quality for their entire line of printers.
AI is a gimmick, even creality has an 'AI camera' however from what I have read, majority of the users turn that feature off. Bambu all the way for that price range…
Couldn't be more wrong in this case - Bambu is fire and forget- their hardware is great and works out of the box and their built in profiles into Bambu slicer are very well calibrated. Start printing and go - you don't need the AI camera it already does the necessary calibrations.. and you get colour printing or extra spools for a small amount extra.
As someone who’s had the M5 from their kickstarter, I’d recommend the A1 over this. There’s less of a community behind the M5, less third party accessories, and QC seems to be generally hit and miss, even with new printers, looking at their discord and on reddit.
You also miss out on multi-material printing as an option. Anker abandoned their solution as it was too complicated to adapt to their printers.
All that said, mine has been mostly pretty good. AI camera is mostly useless tho.
From a review I saw a while ago the ai camera is useless
K1c is cheaper than this…
Many are cheaper than this, A1 standalone at $539 from Amazon.
1350 hours on my a1 just bought a 2nd. these are toys compared to bambu imo.
Also running through octoeverywhere so i have ai detection on the A1.
For that price, you’d be silly to not go for the A1 instead.
