Would recommend having a look at Slappa's thongs if you're still after arch support thongs. They mold to the foot a bit better.

Same, I find them to thick and heavy and the top strap is to thin.
Compared to what exactly? these are basically a better havaiana, they are still just a thong at the end of the day.

Similar thoughts here, I have slightly wide feed and I am a bigger guy - these have been really durable for me and comfort has been solid. Much better grip than your standard pluggers too.
Everyone's feet are different but I haven't regretted buying mine, even at full price.
