    I would not recommend vacuum sealing meat and storing it in the fridge for 12 days. Instead, vacuum seal and freeze it to maintain freshness, which also aids in preserving quality during defrosting.

    KMart for the bags (I can only find rolls on their website, which are a bit more work but definitely more flexible).

    I've been using KMart bags for the last 5 or so years in my Aldi vacuum sealer for sous vide cooking, and I don't remember ever having one fail.

    Aldi also sell them (along with sealers) about twice a year. They're great too.

    The main use case is to seal and freeze, as you essentially negate any chance of freezer burn (within reason - I recently pulled out some 3+ year old meat and it was perfect once thawed).

    Bought in May for $55. Haven't had any issues with using it for cooking things in the sous vide

  Bought one years ago and it died a few months after I bought it, Inkbird replaced it under warranty however it recently died for the same reason as the first unit. Opened it up and one of the wires have melted and separated, soldered it back together and working again.

  Maybe that's why they advertise this on the newest and latest model (INK-VS03):
