    Can't deliver to Perth ?

    • +2

I have no idea sorry. Amazon do seem to limit where they deliver heavy/large items from time to time.

  • +4

    Great price.

Can’t wait to test it out with the cat…

    • +29

Yeah but you wont because youre lazy

      • -3

Nah im not. I run am and do 1hr cross trainer pm at the gym before weights, 1.5hrs on the weekends

        • +1

1.5 hrs out of 48 hours?

          • @MEGASERVE: Sat and Sun - 1.5 hrs cross trainer before weights. Tempting to have a treadmill at home, but takes alot of much needed space

        • +9

Good for you. Lots can't. My wife and I use our treadmill a lot. We watch TV shows and whatnot to make it easier to get through a session.

          • -4

@ozbs25: Nah you can. Used to have that attitude but like work, fitness is a full time job that you have to make time for

          • +1

@ozbs25: What about when you're on the treadmill?

            • @Torzz: When I'm on the treadmill I can watch something so it's not so bad. I can walk or run for a lot longer when I'm watching something. I can run or walk with music but I actually have a huge backlog of stuff I need to watch so watching something just works out better.

Have you tried doing weights before cardio?

You generally want to do weights while energy is highest, then cardio as a finisher. 1hr cardio before weights would significantly impact your resistance training.

          • @Skumzy: Cardio increases your insulin.
            Insulin increases your protein synthesis.

            • +1

@easternculture: End of the day it depends on your goals. if its hypertrophy you were chasing i wouldnt be mixing that much cardio in my training let alone within a weights session.
But If it works for you then keep going.

              • @DarwinBoy: Theory is high insulin, combine with amino acid drink mixed with creatine . You muscles flood with nutrients and creatine preworkout. I used to take supplementary insulin (novarapid 5iu pre and post) but ended up putting on too much viceral belly fat (which is the hardest to get rid off), also put on heaps of size (reached close to 100kg), then stopped it.

Insulin at its peak will begin the anabolic cycle while training. Im 86kg lean and happy with that.

Need to keep the cardio too to stay lean as i dropped down from 94kg over last 8 months or so (heavily restricted my cardio).

            • @easternculture: Correct, but 1 hour of cardio would excessively deplete your energy and impact your resistance training, which is the main trigger of MPS.

If the goal with cardio is just to increase insulin sensitivity before weights, then 10-20mins of moderate intensity would be enough without depleting as much energy (you could do more afterwards if preferred).

But it depends on your goals, if cardio fitness/endurance is your main goal then that's fine.

              • @Skumzy: Each body ia different.

I find if i dont do cardio before training, i dont have the endurance and strength. I also find i lift heavier and can do more reps if i do cardio beforehand.

                excessively deplete your energy

Im usually on low carb /high fat diet anyways. So i suppose my body is used to anerobic energy (from fat), except on leg days and my second arms day of the week

You mean like go outside? I live right on a park and still don't run outside… I drive 10 mins to the gym to go on treadmill runs :) less UV and warmer air.

      • +2

Wow. You dont like morning fresh air. Best feeling ever going on a morning run

        • +6

wouldn't know it, i'm part of the inside generation :/

        • +3

nah it was going to be for my 85 year old dad, he used to go on a walk everymorning down to the football oval, do some laps and then walk back home… but he's gotten too sick lately.. kept passing out while going on walks plus he has Alzheimer's, so he cant go for walks outside anymore because we have to watch him 24/7 now.. so was hoping to get a good treadmill for him, that wasn't junk haha awell. what can you do ay..

          • @JURBA: sorry to hear. but I'd be careful with frail elderly persons with alzheimer's and treadmills. high risk for falls, supervision is best

    • +1

But can you hang your clothes in the park 1 min away from your house?

  • +1

Whoever cancelled their order, THANK YOU!

    Great deal OP

                • +8

@S L: Nah. Just gotta call councils and ask when closest council collection is. Give them a random address and they will tell you. Then drive around the evening before and collect goodies.

All those furniture items you see on sunday markets are from council collections. Have a mate that does this full time and clears a few grand per week

      • +2

  • +1

    Never know Reebok sells treadmill

  • +4

The reason for slashing prices on traditional treadmills like this is that smart treadmills (link is an example - no affiliation here) are coming, which turn running on a treadmill into a competitive online game, making indoor exercise much more engaging and motivating. Similar to what's happened with cycling.

    • They look awesome, probably going to be a while before they're affordable unfortunately. Hope they don't go the peloton route and charge $60 a month for a subscription to play the games/use the leaderboards.

  • If someone decides to abandon it in few months please contact me 😂
