Damn it! Bought so much stuff yesterday :(

    • +1

Same… but everything is still in pending status… so I am hoping that by activating the offer before the transactions clear they will be counted!

    • I am in the same boat.. I did use the Shopback 15% cashback offer.. The transaction is still pending so I am hoping that somehow it will go through and it would be my biggest percentage win on an item lol.

      • Ended up getting a gift card :) We buy crap load of stuff every month from Prime.

    • Same here.

  • +14

Great offer, I am not targeted again. Have never been targeted for these Amazon yello offers…

    • +2

      same. Never get anything useful

    • Same but that’s probably a blessing in disguise coz I emptied the clip yesterday lmao

    • Same

    • Same. I think the people with big mortgages get the best offers.

      • i have big mortgage with CBA and yet they offer nothing but a plain page

  • Can we buy Amazon GC ? Any terms and conditions 🧐

    • No mention of GC, just $100 Spend 🤔

      • Yeah, nothing mentioned about gift cards. I just placed the order. Hope the cashback will land soon

        • +4

Can also get a $10 credit if you buy a $200 gift card

    • +5

It should work, CommBank can't see what you are buying on Amazon. Same goes for if you buy gift cards with their Coles cashback, which I've done before

    • Yes, just make sure you buy Amazon GC.
I had a previous offer spend $75 and get $10. I always spend $1 more on GC to make sure it tracks. CB just recognises the transaction at the retailer and not what was purchased.

    • Yes, I tried last time

  • Gift card???

  • +7

damn I never seem to get the useful yello offers

    • Like others who've commented, I don't get anything useful from yello. Tempted to stop jumping thru the hoops to activate it each month.
Just curious - does anyone who activates with 5 x 1c transactions get decent offers?
On the flip side, are people who are frequent users of CBA services missing out?
Activating yello involves doing the 5 transactions per month, as well as maintaining a (free) eligible account by depositing $2k from external source each month. Given these hoops take actual time to achieve, as well as lost interest on the $2k, it really has to be worthwhile, which thus far for me, it hasn't been. Anyone else in the same boat?

  • late to the party

  • Definitely targeted , not on mine either

    • same, not on mine or partners

  • I don’t see why we can’t use this offer to purchase a gift card?

    • Did this last time.

  • Can some one confirm the wording of the promotion, please? does it mean I can spend $50 in two transactions to hit the $100 threshold? In the past (with AMEX), I had spent over $100 to qualify in one order but Amazon split them into separate transactions on my statement so didnt qualify

    • It says "one or more transactions"

    • I could be wrong but maybe its "one or more transactions" as Amazon tend to split the transactions if you purchase multiple items in the same order and each item is charged once they are shipped? Hope I make sense.

    • To be safe, $100 or more in one transaction. Its subheading says 'in one or more transactions' but under 'Eligibility' it says 'You must spend the required amount in one transaction unless stated otherwise'.

  • Wooo found it!
Good timing. 4 days to use!

  • What is the best way to sign up for CommBank yello?
I don't want to add to my list of hoop jumping that I already do for other banks. But if this is worth it, I should do it as a true Ozbargainer.

    • You don't sign up to it so much as qualify for it by doing a certain number of transactions a month with your card.

    • Honestly too many hoops for most, fees to avoid and need to wait a month after signing up before yello activates. Even spent 15 mins yesterday doing kyc on the phone, been with most banks churning and never done that.

Cancelling accounts sharpish after last $100 cashback on credit card.

  • Question for those that regularly use Yello: Are there usually worthwhile offers? I don't tend to use my CBA account enough to activate Yello. This is the first post I've seen that would've been good to have been targeted for.

    • +2

I have used them a lot, I have had ones from JB Hifi, Coles, Pet Circle, Myer, David Jones etc. Some are really good eg. Spend $50 at Coles get $10 back

      • I didn’t receive very much useful offer from them. I don’t have this offer unfortunately.

    • +2

I've claimed $90 in Cashbacks from Yello over the last 12 Months and most of those were for Fuel from Ampol

      • $140 for me in the last 12 months, plus another $15 coming from Amazon and $20 from Petbarn. Have also claimed the 6 months free for Disney+, 2 months free Apple TV, $20 Kayo p/m (saving $10 a month) for 12 months, and got Gigacomm $10 off for 6 months plus free installation

    • there have been quite a few good ones, though I seem to miss out of most. The only ones recently for me have been the JB HIFI, coles and the chemist warehouse cashback, 6 months disney+ channel.

  • +1

Damn not for me unfortunately. Need to check wifey’s!

  • So how do you know when it's tracked with Yello?

    • +1

It will be confirmed as activated in your offers page. Yello just looks for the merchant on your statement to confirm. It is not like shopback which uses tracking codes.

  • Clutch thanks

  • -2

I have yello but it's not in the offers tab to 'activate' if I just spent the 100 will I get it back?

    • I would wait, the offer expires on July 21st, it might appear tomorrow. If you purchase without activation you won't get it.

    • +1

      Nah

    • Reminds me of the guy that wanted his Amazon international shipping fee reimbursed because he didn't know how it worked.

  • Sweet!!

  • Can I also stack with ShopBack? Click through ShopBack to buy Giftcard using cba card?

    • Shopback excludes gift card purchases

    • I don't think so. The offer is to shop at Amazon, not SB. It'd likely work to buy gc at Amazon directly

  • For those who have it, do you usually Activate all or many offers even if you don't plan using it? or just the ones you know you will buy from?

I don't see the Amazon one, never did on Yellow.

    • I only activated the ones I want (or at least, have a chance I might). Didn't get this one, but got decent offers so far like those from Specials, Coles, Myer, etc

  • Got it 😂

  • I activated it and bought a giftcard at Amazon. But I don't know where I will see the cashback as first time using it, can anyone tell me?

Also I just went to Amazon directly instead of clicking on the link inside yello, would it still track? Not sure if it works like cashrewards where I need to click from there or whether it tracks it from my payment?

    • +1

it works bit different to cashrewards. as long as you have the offer and made the purchase. commbank sees the transaction then the cashback will appear after in due course.

      • Thanks! I activated the offer in app but went to Amazon on my browser directly to buy the gift card. Hope I will see it in my account soon.

    • +1

It takes a few days until it was marked as claimed, and another couple of days after to get the money back in our bank account, but yeah, as above, doesn't use any tracking system (you could stack it with other cashback website if it's actually a real purchase and not giftcard)

      • Thanks for your comment! Ah yep, I just activated first but didn't see any notes of claimed but it hasn't been long. Yeah I thought about doing that but get the extra giftcard promo first!

        • +1

Your transaction with Amazon will show as pending. As soon as it completes, Commbank will see the transaction in your list, you will then get notified in the app saying cash back was claimed and then it appears a few days later in your account as a credit

          • @czechboi: Thanks for the detailed explanation, really appreciate it!

  • @WoodenSpoon - This can be stacked with up to 15% cashback offer from Shopack. Might want to add this to the description.

  • Is this expired or exclusive? I cannot find it in my Yello.

    • +3

It say "Targeted".. guess you are not a "Target" for this promo :)

      • yes, can't find it my Yello's list.

      • I see. Thanks.

  • Accidentally purchased from Amazon app, does it have to be from Amazon website? Surely same transaction?

  • thanks good for my $111 order

  • Got it! Thanks

  • Finally my first Amazon Yello promo

Much better than the regular Mydeal and Kogan promos

Probably will be a one off for prime day though lol

  • Just be careful when ordering. I bought two items each for less than $100 and they got billed separately. So now I have two items on the same day but don't have more than $100 in the same transaction.

    • +3

Lucky for you the offer is "one or more transactions"

      • Just wondering if anyone get tracked from "more transactions"

      • You are right. For some reason, I thought it was one transaction. Went back and read it again now.

    • Make sense as that how it works with cashback website too, always tracked as individual items on all of them

  • I ordered $110 worth of items in one hit but it won't ship til next week (and im not charged until it ships). The yello offer says purchases in the next 4 days only…

Im guessing it won't track then as it hasn't been deducted from my account. Anyone have any insight?

    • +1

Could you buy a $110 gift card now, then cancel and reorder?

      • Great idea, cheers !

      • +1

You don't need to cancel, you can change to payment to gift card.

  • Where would I find the offer?

  • +3

Got the CBA notification saying that they're sending my $15 cashback. My purchase was Amazon giftcard.

    • Same. Also bought gift cards, thought might as well get the promo $10 offer as well but didn't want $200 lump sum applied to my account at once so bought 10 x $20 gift cards instead. Amazon called me for authorisation of the purchase (they first sent an email saying they'd be doing so in the next 10 minutes, although the call came pretty much right after)

  • I met 30 transactions last month and in early Aug it turned to Everyday Plus but! this offer didn't come back, remember the offer said ending 30th Aug.
