Not sure about that RRP, however this is the newer hall effect version and the controllers have been increasing in price over the years due to inflation… so it's the cheapest you can get it right now for sure.

Great controller all round, compact for traveling and has all the analogue triggers you'd expect.
Hall Effect is a nice upgrade.

I keep one in my Tesla console to play Beach Buggy Racing, Cat Quest et. al.

  Nice, I own and use the previous version without the hall effect sticks and it's pretty good. Only thing I'd note with this is that the rear triggers aren't analog, so not suitable for racing games or anything like that.

  Thoughts on d-pad for gameboy (pokemon) emulation?

  I use an xbox controller currently and the d-pad is okay but wouldn't mind an upgrade.

  These are usually used for retropie setups. There are "third party" N64 style 2.4ghz wireless controller floating around ebay that are compatible with the emulator systems too (any PC really). It also works well for NES/SNES/GB as their controller layouts are similar. I use that and a cheap PlayStation inspired wireless controller .

  I haven't figured out a good and cheap controller for the Sega line.

  Does this charge in your center console USB port?

  Reason I’m asking is I’m currently using a PS4 controller in my 2022 M3 and it doesn’t charge (requires data port). Would get this if it did.

    Yes it does. It’ll charge off any dumb charger.

    Same!! Mine says "Not yet shipped" and I Ordered 10 days ago on 17 July 2024. This is very slow. I don't want a refund either as then I will lose the special price, frustrating. Hope it still comes through.

        Same. When I spoke to Amazon last they said it did have a delivery date….sometime early August….I see nothing. Contacting them again now.

        Got this from their bot:

        We're preparing this order, and it's on track to be delivered by Tuesday, 10 Sept.

        It is in stock so no idea why so long. Will probably cancel it.
