  • seems like this cannot be used on carpets? (i.e. without the mop function)

    • Don't think so, it's mainly for mopping

    • yes, you can use it on carpets. I was thinking Roborock Flexit Lite vs Tineco iFloor 5 vs Dreame H12s, did some research. When it comes to suction: Flexit :17000 Pa vs Dreame: 16000 Pa vs Tineco: undisclosed, battery life: 40 min vs Dreame: 25 min vs Tineco: 35 min, Weight: Flexit 4 kg vs Dreame: ‎8.95 kg vs Tineco: ‎8.42 kg. 180 degree flat reach for under table cleaning and hot air drying is limited to Flexit. Just ordered one, will send feedbacks when I have it.

      • Oh, that's good to know. But why would you use this to clean carpet? It doesn't seem to have the right brush to lift the dirt, I think

  • The first 5* review on Amazon AU site is literally from one of the videos in the product description. Seems so dodgy to me so I looked around for more reviews and found this on the Amazon US site

I received this for free from purchasing another RoboRock product and can not recommend it. Even if it were $100 I'm not sure I could recommend it.

    The good:
    - It looks nice.
    - It's wireless.
    - The charging dock is easy to use and small.
    - It can mop and vacuum.

    The bad:
    - The worst part: The mop only mops part of the width of the vacuum head, not even the entire width. This is very strange and makes using it more of a hassle. It takes some time after starting to go from a thin strip to a wider strip, but is still not as wide as the vacuum head.
    - The mop residue with their cleaning liquid is very sticky. My floors are left stickier after cleaning, even after it dries.
    - Did I mention their expensive cleaning liquid is not included in your purchase?
    - On messy areas you need multiple passes with the mop to attempt to clean it up. The mop will push some of the mess around so you need to mop repeatedly in a wider area than your mess.
    - The mop is a simple roller pad that seems unlikely to be able to clean deeply when needed.
    - The vacuum is quiet enough that I expect it to not clean carpets deeply, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's weak enough you need multiple passes on big messes.
    - The vacuum can lay flat to supposedly get under furniture, but it's too bulky to get under many pieces of furniture when you would consider flattening the vacuum.
    - To get any decent mopping and probably vacuuming power out of it, you need to have the device always on max mode, the other two modes will just require you to pass over the area more.
    - This device is overpriced. It's strange that there's an even more expensive pro version that has slightly increased "everything". Why two very similar versions and why such a huge price difference; is this version insufficient?

    • +1

This just came out, so proper reviews are on the way. That review also seems off, of course it doesn’t come with cleaning liquid. If it gets "sticky," it’s probably from not diluting it properly. And you don't have to use the recommended Omo cleaner either—there are tons of recipes online. And using it to clean carpets? They clearly don’t know the proper usage for this

  • I bought this, came in yesterday. Used it once today, and it conked off. Just wouldn't power up again! Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy.

The one use it got, I thought it was a bit of a mixed bag. It does not work without the mop function (so you can't do a "dry" vacuum). And while it is supposed to be flexible and lie-flat, in reality it is still too big to fit under smallish spaces, where a regular stick vacuum would have no trouble. Battery life is middling, and manoeuvrability is a bit tight. The suction and overall cleaning output is pretty amazing though, and the self cleaning and drying just works brilliantly.

    • Why do they keep calling these things "wet & dry" when they clearly do not vacuum dry!?

    • Thanks for the review, I just took mine out of the box and will try it for the first time tomorrow. I've tested it to reach underneath my furniture, and it looks like there's no issue with mine—it's still flat enough to do so. I hope mine will last longer!
