D- link for $75 float your boat?
I'm wondering if just daisy chaining two 8 ports for half the price will be just as effective (even if it's messy)…. but yeah $75 is cheap for a 16 port switch.
doesn't daisy chaining them give you 15 ports in total as actual outputs, so not exactly as effective if you actually need 16?
(but then, two of the 8, plus one of the 4 from this deal gives 18 ports in total you can actually use, and still less than $75)
@AdModnar: Well in both of the planned use cases we actually only need about 12-13 ports so it works but I just hate the messiness of running a double adaptor etc.
My current setup has me doing this hahaha
Too much grief with D-Link reliability and warranty to want to risk it.
I’ve had pretty good experiences with them from both reliability and warranty support in Australia. Been running a few of their gigabit switches for nearly a decade with no issues in my current setup. My question above was actually to help a few mates who recently built houses and needed a switch.
showing $30.42 ?
Seems good value but no need to rush as it spends about half its time at this price
Good price but where are the 16 port deals?
