  • I still went with the G.Skill 6000, CL30 as it has better sub timings while doing it at 1.35 Volts vs 1.4 Volts on this CORSAIR

    G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL30-36-36-96 1.35V Desktop Computer Memory

    • Hmm.. curious if that is worth ~$50 extra?

If these are the volts corsair is willing to provide warranty at, is it mainly heat and tiny extra speed in the latter sub timings (which are less important) that you are paying for?

      • 1.35v is more likely to be easier to run on more motherboards vs 1.4v .. DDR5 stock 4800 runs at 1.1v :) and will always be the most rock solid stable speed.

AMD only guarantees that its Ryzen 7000 series CPU's can run at 5200MT/s . Anything faster then that is CPU silicon lottery.

So if you crash at 6000MT/s that's just bad luck and doesn't have anything to do with the Ram. I spent the extra $50 for the sub timings because even if i have to run my ram at DDR5 5200 i still get the AMD Expo sub timings at least. :)… I'm planing to buy a Zen5 9600X. Hoping the memory controller has matured a bit more even though its not been changed at all.

        • Makes sense, thanks for the response
