That's more ram than what most people have in their laptops.

Unsure why someone will need 24gb on a phone.

      Bragging rights.

Everyone complains that there isn't enouhh ram. So for once, a mobile has more ram, so I'm not going to complain.

  • decent value, just not sure which version of software it runs on.

  • 1+ still exists 😮

    China model, meh
Only good for chinese users in china
Oneplus has locked the bootloader since the oneplus 11
Only global model is now worth it for the western market
It's just the china os with google play installed

    • Can U pls let me know what the limitation of having the Chinese rom with google play has over the global version?

I was going to pull the trigger considering this price is cheaper then the 512gb global versions being sold..

      • My bad it is a global rom but they have unlocked the bootloader meaning google wallet/google pay potentially may be disabled/unusebale. Message and ask the seller before you purchase it if google wallet works. Usually when bootloaders are unlocked it disables google pay/google wallet

        • Thanks for the info. Google wallet and android auto is must for me.

@BlitzR: Oneplus never used to lock the bootloader. When they decided to do it with the 11, it pissed me off so much. The 10 pro was my last oneplus phone with a global rom.

            • @zacaryf: Ahh I always heard good thi gs about OnePlus phones, didn't know they started locking things down. I'm tossing over this or the vivo x100 and Xiaomi 14…

@BlitzR: Go for xaiomi 14 utra, you can buy on aliexpress. 1.5k

                • @zacaryf: Just trying to find a local seller for ease of warranty claims, plus I'm going overseas soon so wouldn't mind claiming the tax back from trs…

OnePlus 7 Pro was the best Android phone I ever had. It delivered the best performance for a better price. Looking forward to their next foldable

      OnePlus have lost their way.

They were the alternative to the Google Nexus phones when Nexus ended. In other words, the replacement of cheap, stock Android.

Now they are trying to compete with Apple and Samsung.

buying a grey import phone for over 1k seems cray cray

    • The OP9Pro I'm on rn was bought on AliExpress. A couple of years later it still runs great.

  • careful with Chinese model. check the LTE and 5G bands also it prob wont support android auto my one did not. and will be full of Chinese apps and bloatware some which cant be uninstalled. they are good as a 2nd android but prob not as your main phone. and updates will not be supported as long as global roms. an no esim which is very useful for vacations.

  • +1

From what I've read, send no issues with 5g/lte. Supports band 28. No esim but the global version only allows 1 nanosim if you use esim anyway… So if you want multiple Sims you need 2+esim and 1 nano. My other phone is galaxy flip which has esim. Interesting about android auto though… Thought I saw somewhere that it worked

only works under international ROM AFAIK

  • There's a global rom model available as well:

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/heybattery-oneplus-12-5g-24gb1t…

  • This one is also international rom. says so in description.

  • i got this phone 16+512 when it just came out. it is definitely worth every dime i paid for, but a bad thing happened when i flashed the global rom and tried to flash back to coloros, it turned into a brick……by that i mean there is no responding, nothing, it is not like the brick that you can still start it or make it respond by press and hold vol down + power button.
so if you are like me, i wouldnt recommend this phone.
fyi, i prefer the coloros over oxygenos because it supports 32bit software which is the main reason i tried to flash back. the ONLY downside FOR ME is it does not support android auto, you can install though, but nothing will appear on the screen when you connect it to your car.

  • Android auto works on oxygen os global rom though from what I read? So when china spec is flashed to oxygen os it works?

  • Remember when oneplus was going to be the company the shake up the android prices?
Drive samsubg, lg, sony prices down?

    • Lol, Sony has never cared about competitively pricing their phones

  • With my OnePlus 10+ pro, I cannot use Google Play on a Square Reader.
But it is working with other normal reader.
    So strange…
