Stocking up for summer for a cheaper kids water pistol?

also handy as glue bottles , and essential if you inject sauce into your pie instead of just squirting on top.

    • great idea, way cheaper than those woodworking glue bottles

      • If you mean the Glubot style it's pretty different.

I usually buy Selleys wood glues which are squeezy bottles already but there is neat difference in not having to always turn it over and stuff.

I got the cheap baby size version during a discount. They are a bit pricey otherwise.

    • Sticking the sauce bottle into pies sounds like a recipe for food poisoning over time.

How does this compare to a re-usable tomato sauce bottle?

  • Does anyone know where to get other lid colors?

    IYKYK…..

Why? This shit is free when you buy bottled sauce..

We use old bottles for sunscreen; grout sealer.. sauce bottles are handy and the screw top is more secure than the one in this OP

    • I like em beacause they are a good small size to keep things in the fridge door, ofc reusing masterfoods bottles are the way to go financially and environmentally, but they are perfect size for a can of consensed milk, sugar syrup and diy green tabasco, stuff you dont need a lot of

Can you elaborate on your green Tabasco recipe?

There's a lot of different recipes online, but close enough for me is a jar of these (https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/41049/sand…) with about a tsp each of garlic and white vinegar and blend it all together. Other recipes recommend adding brown sugar, apple cider vinegar (substituted) and boiling too, it deepens the flavour apparently but i couldn't be bothered.

What's the difference between this and original tomato/Honey ect bottle?

  • Anyone have any experience with the OXO versions of these?

The lids on the OXO ones look like they will last longer. Looking to replace the olive oil bottle I use because I end up getting oil all over the screw lid and the bottle.
