Is this like some scam posting at such times

Crazy timing, was literally just up late scrolling Facebook marketplace looking for one of these and they were all MORE than this.

    Purchased.

  • Comes with 3 months of Australian warranty

    • Can add in DJI care, which is the real deal here.

  • I wish I needed this.

Happy for those who grab it, though. I'm sure it's fun.

  • A warning to beginners: As someone who's owned this, this is a terrible drone to learn on. It's extremely fragile. It's also large and noisy. You'll break arms in no time.
There is a reason why DJI abandoned this style and went to the cinewhoop frame.

    • Could you let me know more please? What was so hard? I’ve flown drones before not good once, I really want the joystick, what cinewoop did you decide on? And there basically the same thing just much cheaper aye?

    Please note:
The Ex-Demo DJI FPV Combo is a brand new, unopened unit originally intended for demonstration purposes.
All components are marked with Not For Sale but are fully operational as per normal.

Given this I can't understand why it only comes with a 3 month warranty.

    • Yeah I expect one could make a consumer rights argument for more warranty. But it does say that some components are marked ‘not for resale’ so that might make it an exception.

  • I had the avata and suffered terribly from motion sickness and sold it promptly after. I'm probably the minority but something to think about.

    • I've got the Avata and usually fly 3 packs on it at a time. Weird because I've also got a quest and I star vomiting after 15mins on it

    • I want a drone should I yolo this

This drone rips in a straight like. It's big and doesn't acro well, seriously dangerous flying it around trees

        • Not good acro?
I guess self level is the only way?

          • +2

@Wiadro: It's a heavier quad maybe comparable to a 5" but abit more sluggish. It'll go over 100kph in a straight line but it's not something you'll be flying in between things. 1 crash and this thing is done.

I'd say this is good if you're flying somewhere really open like coastline or mountains, it handles extreme winds easily.

  • Aren't FPV drones illegal to fly in Australia without the relevant permits?

They break the usual rule that you must always have visibility of the drone while flying.

    • Mate everyone breaks this rule

They break the usual rule that you must always have visibility of the drone while flying.

    • It is legal if you fly in a club.

The goggles are no different from a screen on your controller.

      • +1

Not quite, no line of sight and you can't see surround areas of the drone.

        • -2

The latest DJI goggles 3 have external cameras which allow line of sight so that you can see surround areas of the done.

    • Correct!

Ended up getting this for $649. They ran out of the hard case so sent a soft one and a partial refund. Bargain!

I can’t say I’m proud of the way I behaved. I scored that extra discount, but the cost to my generally gentle soul was great…

        • You're on ozb. It was worth it.

Also got the $100 refund. Love a good after sale discount.
