Lyca Mobile 28-Day Unlimited Plans: '20' 15GB $5, 'S' 70GB $6.90 (OOS), 'M' 100GB $8.80 (OOS) Delivered @ Lyca Mobile eBay

571

One of the cheapest Mobile plans right now, especially since the Konec Mobile deal ended. all plans are 28 days each, (after which ongoing price applies which is a lot more than the deal price)

The $6.90 and $8.8 sim comes with 5G (Download speeds are capped at 100Mbps) ready too (they use Vodafone network now), these two come with various international calling credits too (35 destinations have unlimited calling credit, namely

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea South, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Malta, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine Kyivstar, United Kingdom, Guam, New Zealand.

Hence a lot of pros for spending an extra $1.90 for the Unlimited Plan S instead of the cheapest plan which has no international credit, nor any 5G and only 10GB + 5 GB bonus (for 2 recharges).

  • Only 23 feedbacks? This seems strange. Are they new to ebay?

    • i guess ?? but one of the only negative feedback had a photo of package too, (and that seems pretty official IMO ?? other than that tear the buyer was talking about ?)

prices are cheaper than their official website though

      • 2 comments said it's difficult to port… don't want to end up with no sim

        • +1

          it's difficult to port

          TRUE

NGL when I last used lyca, yes the porting was very weird process with them, Like its only them as far as I know that requires us to like insert sim card before activation then restart phone (AKA MUST RESTART PHONE) something like that. the process is on the activation page, a bit tedious yeah, but should work fine if you follow it though

Edit- another thing difficult with lyca mobile is changing the card for the auto recharge without payment (it is possible and I have done it in past). For this you need to add the new card using your Lyca mobile App (android/ios) I used android app. then you can remove the old card online (via website). then you should only have the new card now for the auto recharges (for the next payment without having to make any extra payment etc.)

First 28 days only. Regular prices apply afterwards

pretty much means no deal for me, why bother

  • I'm still waiting for Shopback and Lyca to sort out my missing cashback that was due on the 14 June 2024. I've only tried to chase it up with Shopback three times so far… Crickets… Caveat Emptor.

    • What? My $30 Lyca cashback was confirmed on that date.

      • shopback is quite often nowadays hit and miss and surely that deal gave a lot users headache for cashback not tracking etc. etc. , chasing up etc.

Not worth it for me due to very busy life

  • sold out?

    • shows available to me

read the Tip at bottom of deal, you can only buy 1 item every 10 days per eBay account, (or buy more with guest checkout option)

  • hummmmm.. $1 for 7 day or this for $6.9

    • where is $1 for 7 day deal at ?

      • cr!!

Great deal for 28 days churn. But no e-sim.

    • Lyca does offer e-sims

you might need to like buy and activate physical sim first then ask Customer service to give you e-sim ?? afterwards ?

      • -2

        Meh, too hard.

        • On the flip side I just found another great reason to use Lyca mobile too, will share as a separate deal later today

takes too much time for write up and stuff

in short Free EU roaming with standard Bundle

  • omg! the $5 voucher from email just made it 1.90! lol

  • -2

so 140GB per year for $245 for first year?

catch connect has 180GB for $150 for first year

    • ???

i only posted 28 day prepaid sim only deals dude (for the sim hopppers, or one time activators)

ofc it is not ideal to be paying ongoing cost after the first 28 days, (that is why you need another network provider's sim card to play porting games with)

      • I guess it would be good for travelers in the country for a month or less.

  • do they still route their traffic thru overseas

  • +1

I churn with different Sim provider every month, and can say that Lyca is the worst of all.

    • +1

      in terms of?

Weird and troublesome port in procedure, bad customer support, frequent server issues a couple week before their migration away from Telstra, not sure if this is fixed now, but I won't be going back to them anytime soon.

    • I had worst experience with Lebara,
So bad Optus network (includes Coles, amaysim etc.) people when calling me were getting a warning saying

Optus advice the number you trying to call has been disconnected. Lebara customer service did absolutely dog sh!t no refund or anything. Never did they admit they had some fault in Porting which caused this issue.

Not going with Lebara personally since then, as I expected to receive calls and text from all 3 Australian network providers, and not just Vodafone and Telstra network numbers.

And my issue was fixed instantly as soon as I ported out of Lebara to boost. Clearly some problem in Porting and Lebara won't admit their fault. It was so bad not being able to receive calls and texts from other people and otps from Optus networks

How about this 100GB amaysim plan (was $40 now $15) for just $2 after cashback?

Both CR&SB are offering $13 cashback

    • good!

    • Yeah good deal IFF you are okay with using Optus network and Amaysim.

  • +2

Shittiest network ever I've ever been on. I am good at swapping sims and have almost used every MVNO there is. But they are the worst in Melbourne and surrounding areas.

  • -1

I am downvoting as this is a dodgy provider. Didn't give cashback on last deal and auto billed when it was switched off.

Said they couldn't refund me. So went to the TIO

    • -4

You really should have removed your card from your account or used a prepaid one time card for buying it/auto recharging it.

      • +1

You can only update card, cannot remove it. Prepaid gc does not work.

        • what happens if you use zip's once off virtual credit card?

          • @OMGJL: You can update it man, as I said the procedure is but tedious.

To add a card you need to use their app, to remove a card you need to use their website. Don't ask me why, I didn't make the website just sharing my experience that it is doable and quite easily doable (as I learnt from their last $1-3 Sim offers deals for first 3 months)

    • how would cashback be related to the store?

      • They have to approve it.

        • okay, so you don't blame the middleman?

    • this isnt a CB deal…. so you cant neg it as this is a ebay deal!

      • -2

Was negging more the auto bill. That really pissed me off.

  • +2

My experience with lyca mobile was also bad.
    1. Couldn't make international calls despite my purchased plan as Large including major overseas call credit included. Contacted support but they were helpless
    2. My port out request was rejected due to 'wrong DOB' despite the fact I put correct one of mine. I had to call them as well as new carrier (boost) to confirm my DOB was correct in my port request. There was no fault in my application and Lyca mobile first rejected my request but after my call they allowed me. I have never had such issue with any mobile career during porting.

    1. Cashback issue. Rejected via ShopBack but after complaining, they approved after long wait. (it may be SB'S fault, never know)

I will stay clear from them whatever good offer they make.

    • I had issues with them as well. I could not log into my account from browser. Indian support staff could not help. Also hotspot does not work unless you manually setup the APN. You have to Google the APN settings to know those.

  • +1

Already out of stock for S and M

  • Can the data be used in Europe? If not is there a roaming bundle cost?

  • Is there an activation deadline? Can you buy it and activate later, say next year.

    • You can buy and activate later (it will be valide until the end of Sim card expiry date which is unable to be known without having Sim physically in hand)

  • +2

Im not sure if theyve since fixed it but about 6 years back i was with lyca. They emailed me my password i used to sign up. Which means they had it stored in plain text.

Id be a careful about what info i give them and the password i chose

    https://imgur.com/a/ON6Lvok

    • smart people should be using a good password manager and auto generated passwords already.

but yeah doesn't change the fact what you said that they need to improve security

  • Got the eSIM email, with PUK code and ICCID but no mobile #. Followed the QR code but had cold feet when it is installing on the phone without asking me any questions like if I want to port # etc, for anyone has done this process with eSIM port-in from another provider, what is the process like? Many thanks!

    • Try giving them a phone call ??

I got all 3 of my eBay orders shipped out

      • good to know it can be reached
