i have both the 7 and 11. it wont change your life but i do like that the 11 doesnt require that external cage thingy the 7 uses, and it generally looks a bit better in my opinion. 60FPS 4K has its uses too, if that matters to you.

To answer your question the 11 and 11 Creator Edition are the same camera, just extra accessories (and this looks more like the standard 11)
The 12 has been out for 9 months, it's only marginally better. The 11 is still pretty good especially at this price.

Get the GoPro if you want the best image quality, and you're willing to accept the high probability that it will fail to record and freeze half way through.
depends on what your are doing. if you are doing sporty stuff that need super slo-mo get hero11 or osmo action 3
i use my insta more for vlogging or when i get really lazy or take quick videos. you dont have to be precise as you can move the camera view in any direction and edit it in post.
Insta hase been shown to may or may not actually be waterproof as advertised.

Bought mine from OW around $430 last time but decided to crap itself so got a replacement one from OW. I was in this amazing waterfall in Indonesia and it crapped it self again. If it actually worked I actually like it.

osmo action or action 3?
osmo action 3 is really good and i bought it because it was cheaper then the hero when they were both new. hero can do slow mo with higher resolution. i think hero11 can do 2.7k at 240fps and osmo can do max 1080 at 240fps. you usually upload in 1080p anyways, so this could also be irrelevant.
but if you use 4k they are both 120fps.
hero11 takes better pictures which i don't do since i have a dslr, so this was useless for me.
