    Can this charge an EV?

    • +1

That's a fairly broad question, given an EV can range from a golf cart through to the Cybertruck.
Did you have a specific model of vehicle in mind ?

        Segway Ninebot

  • May I ask, in an event of a blackout, how do I use this to power the whole house (or is even is it possible?)? Do I just plug the unit to one of the wall sockets to have the power feeding back to the house grid?

    Many thanks!

By licensed electricians linking your generator to the main power switch, you can ensure that your home remains powered during blackouts, enhancing safety and convenience.

to power the whole house (or is even is it possible?)

Powering the whole house is a bit vague, but essentially no. This is rated at 1800VA, so you'd have enough to keep the fridge going, some lights, modem/router, charge phones etc, but not much more. Certainly no heating/cooking/washing etc.

Do I just plug the unit to one of the wall sockets

Absolutely no, this is dangerous to you and anyone working on the network as there is potential for it to back feed the grid.

A licenced electrician can install an inlet and change over switch at the switch board and connect it to the required circuits, a guess would be around $1000 or something to do that.
