So, I used an Android phone with GPS joystick installed on it to lock in a fuel voucher this morning. I haven't used the voucher, but I received a blocked notification email just now.
I have been using the same phone to lock in fuel voucher since it started. Helicopter party over?
This is what the email said:
"This is a courtesy notice to inform you that your My 7-Eleven app account has been blocked as it has been detected that the account has been misused.
We refer you to the My 7-Eleven mobile app terms and conditions that govern the use of the My 7-Eleven app which you agreed to be bound by when you registered your My 7-Eleven account, and which has been misused. 7-Eleven has therefore chosen to block the account."
I wonder if they put in a cooldown period like PokemonGo.
Looks like you used it to often and to quick and on the same device.
The last time I locked in was last week though.

To be on the safe side lock the price in your State only.
Yeah, reducing the 'obviousness' should be the goal.
Locking in a Perth price and buying in Sydney 30mins later is an easy metric to get an account ban :)

Yes and no, you have to allow more time.
ie don't lock in cheap fuel in WA and try to redeem 10 mins later in VIC.

WA locks are a honey pot. If you're not from that area avoid it.

anyone been banned traveling interstate to lock prices in one state and claim in another?
I am getting G17 error while trying to reset my password. Does this mean they locked my account ? I did a WA lock few weeks back (I am in Sydney) and at the 7-eleven store, it didnt work at all for some reason and the locked price gone as well after that.
Still works fine just got know what and how to do it.
