  • Such good deals.

Got upgraded within a week of submitting the request.

  • Telstra 5G Home Internet might be better value if you're eligible.

I signed up last month and my speeds are:

    Ping: 10-16ms
    Download: 450-650mpbs
    Upload: 30-45mbps

    • That's pretty good, might need to give it a go myself

I am about to swap from Aussie Broadband. I asked them what they could do to match and they said they can take $12 off my bill….
How has people's pings changed since joining Leaptel?

    Upvoting for Leaptel.
    They're great.
Little down time the other morning but that was my first outage since I've been with them in nearly 9 months and it was quickly rectified.
Never had a slow down on my gig connecsh either.
    Lovely little service.

    250/20Mbps typical evening speed 90/8Mbps?

There is something wrong there, or that's pretty awful…

    • You can reach 250/20 from 7pm to 11pm but it can vary. Leaptel should increase the Typical Evening Speed once they have more data. The same thing happened when nbn introduced 250/25 on nbn HFC and FTTP.

Waiting for 500/50 to replace 100/20
Or at least a 500 down plan that is more than 10$ less than 1000/40.

I'm on leaptels 1000 plan now and not many things reach higher than 600mbps downloads, only some Steam games, no one in Australia is seeding torrents faster than 40mbp, turns out not much use for 1000mbps. Unless that's just the typical speeds showing during peak hour.

    • My friend, you have reached the maximum limits of your CPU. Leaptel (or any other provider for that matter) can't bend the laws of physics for you.

The point of being on a 1000 mbps plan is if you have multiple heavy users at home.

Interesting watch, good point on compression especially on Steam that makes sense why it goes from 900~mbps down to 500mbps often.

  • Experience on FTTP has been excellent, doesn't necessarily translate to fixed wireless of course, but in general a good company to deal with.
They have admins active on Whirlpool forums all the time.

Sigh, I love Leaptel but they’re getting popular now. Feels like when Superloop was discovered but then eventually became terrible.

Hopefully they keep prices as they are now for a while and can deal with this growth well without impacting service.

    • Lol, I feel ya, I was on MATE prior to Leaptel, their downfall was just sad

      • As happens with all good things nowadays :) Just have to be one step ahead I guess.

  • My 250mb is coming up as $89

    • 250/25 $89/m for 12 months is for nbn FTTP and HFC. $119/m ongoing.

250/20 $79.95/m for 12 months is for nbn Fixed Wireless. $89.95/m ongoing.
