This game is old but I had so much fun playing it. Recommended.

    • I loved how you had 2 (or 3?) ways of playing it. One was puzzle heavy while the other one had a lot of fighting. Can't remember if there was a third mode

      • +2

        Third was with Sophie (?)
Then they sort of converged at the end

        • Yeah, you get a choice of three at the end of act one, the Team path with Sophia helping, Wits path for puzzle heavy, and Fists path for fighting
they converge at the beginning of act 3

The game that should have been the fourth movie.

    • +15

There is no fourth movie…. but if they ever did make a fourth, yes absolutely!

      • -8

There are literally 5 movies :p

        • +17

I have absolutely no recollection of any movie after the brilliant Last Crusade, and I'm keeping it that way :p

These games are the golden age of PC gaming.

    • +13

Yup, the quality of gaming back then from Sierra, Origin Systems, LucasArts was astounding as well as so many other top quality games from different genres.

  • +1

I really enjoyed playing this back in the day.

  • More awesome Point N Click games thanks!

The Dig and Loom are also on sale via Fanatical and/or Steam :) They're a bit more "niche" but I like them.

Fond memories of this one. The best storyline of all Indy stuff (maybe rose coloured glasses but I’m sticking with that position).

New Indy game coming out later this year on Xbox - hopefully lives up to expectations. Looks amazing.

  • +2

wow, the hours I burnt as a kid playing the Lucas Arts Adventure Pack. Those, and later on, BF2 & Halo LAN parties = my fondest and yet to be beaten gaming memories.

Unless it's remastered, paying for this isn't a bargain in my opinion. At best, paying saves you from having to learn how to run ScummVM or DOSbox.

    • Or just playing it online

      • But like how would you save your progress etc.

        • It doesn't take a week to finish it. I think you could cope by leaving the browser open when you go for a leak

          • +1

@xrayed giraffe: According to steam reviews the gameplay time is at least 12 hours…

That's a long time, though not a week.

    • Thanks, hadn't heard of ScummVM.. looks like fun

  • Good game but it is so old I wonder if modern PC can still run it properly?

    • +3

Steam and GOG versions of old games are usually set up to work with modern computers. If not, you tend to see it mentioned in reviews.

From reviews on this one it sounds like it works well, although one person claims it has better audio when played via ScummVM. I’m kind of surprised these rereleases already using ScummVM internally to be honest.

Have only heard of Orichalcum in this game and Skyrim. Great story, complements the original movies

This is truly one of the best of the lucasfilm/lucas arts adv games. I remember how amazing this was to play on the pc off cdrom back in the days of the constant autoexec batch files boot up disks you had to make inorder to get i think was 590kb free or so which this required to run. Also this beats playing the amiga non talkie version which came out on 11 discs which i completed before moving onto the pc editions. Great memories and a flippin bargain.

The face in the picture is not Indiana Jones, it's Indiana Smith. Famously played by Harrison Holden

Why should I, you fat tub of lard?

The best opening scene ever. Love playing this game.

  • Will this be remastered anyone have any idea?

  • Played it back in the day, now trying so hard not to purchase and fail to play now… Too many unplayed nostalgia games in my Steam account! :-D

  • +4

One of (or even the best) adventure game I have ever played. Replayed it a few times over the years and is nigh on perfect.

  • +2

    Wow
One the most memorable pc game i grew up with.

I wish they make a movie based of this game.

  • I remember saving money to buy an Indiana Jones game for the first Nintendo when it came out. It probably took me over a month but back then it felt like years… and the game. OMG that was soooooooooooooooooooo @#$%TR@#. I tried so hard to like it and it was just so junk I nearly cried.

Lucky the store I'd bought it from let me trade it for another with just a small loss. Lesson learned tho

  • I played through again in honour of the deal, and while the first 60% of the game is still amazingly solid, the last act (in Atlantis) has aged like milk.

  • 10 beads or 100 beads of Orichalcum to become a god? Surely 100 right??
