[PC, Steam] Sam and Max Hit The Road $1.71 @ Fanatical

940
GGDEALS5

The Talkie version! And without any headaches for those with crappy SoundBlaster clones like myself!

Sam: Where should I put this so it won't harm anyone we know or care about?
Max: Out the window Sam! There's nobody but strangers out there!
(Sam obediently lobs the bomb out the window, whereupon it explodes.)
Sam: I hope there was nobody on that bus.
Max: Nobody we know, at least.

How is this game on deck? or can anyone recommend me any story telling/narrative games that play well on steam deck.

    • Reports were mixed I think need a mouse and kb

I’m thinking about getting it on steam purely so I can have it all in 1 spot , but prob play on pc. I think I could 1 session it, roughly remember all the parts so prob can knock it over in 2-3 hours.

      • 1 word. Exodos

      • Thanks for the response, I do have a high end PC. But barely use it because I prefer to use my Mac laptop, and just play games on steam deck. Frame rate and stability overrides resolution and graphics fidelity.

Runs great on deck with ScummVM

    • The remake might be a better one for the deck, but its a different game

This is infinitely better WITHOUT talkie. The gags hit much harder when read not heard

I prefer the talkie one but it was the first game I ever got on cd-rom so thats the one i have nostalgia for

Yeah sure, neg all you like, you simply haven't tried it.

Personally I'd trust me, the guy with the embossed poster that only game with the German disk version, and the 1 of 10 Polystone statues, and hand signed artwork, to know what he's talking about.

    Such a good game lol

Are you as confused as I am?

  • Great game!

"• This game is powered by ScummVM"

Interesting to see it as an emulated version though.

  • Should I get this or the Broken Sword trilogy? Which is better or should I get both?.. Heck, why not..

  • On sale via Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/355170/Sam__Max_Hit_the_R… for A$3.07
