buy miso paste from coles or woolies, a tea spoon and water, boil, wothbsome tofu and veggies does well

Would recommend placing miso paste in AFTER you boil, preferably off heat. I typically mix some miso paste with hot water in a separate vessel, dissolve it, and add it once the rest of the cook is done.

I'm always confused why random Woolies/Coles specials with a dollar off get a separate post…

    • VERY popular item.. rarely now on discount..

Never understood why they call this udon. It's more Somen.

    • Interestingly, they (Hakubaku) have Somen.

Which is exactly the same because they are both so thin. Only difference is theyve loaded 70% more salt onto the Udon for some reason. Odd recipe if you consider Udon would be served with high sodium soups.

This pack is 270g, I reckon it's definitely for two people, not three.
The pack says three servings, and even 1/3 = 1368mg sodium.

Really you'd be having just over 2 grams of sodium if you shared the pack with someone.

    • Carbs mate. They would basing their servings on 400cal reference per serve.

  • These are probably worthy alternatives at $3.10/kg pack
    ramen or egg noodle.

    • Sure, if your local WW store has stock.

Hakubaku noodles are in available in most (if not all) WW stores.
