They are pretty rugged and comfortable. I was at Target northland, and they had at least 20 pairs, but only 1 in size 10.

If you are a larger or smaller size, i think these are not bad for a leather shoe.

  Just a note. Always buy lace-up boots as it gives you ankle support and a lot of construction sites will not allow to use these type of shoes that are slip on.

      I use this type of boot (without the steel toe) for gardening. Its main purpose is to stop my feet getting wet and muddy, and it does that. Plus, it's easy to slip off if I need to run inside for anything.

      I guess it's a matter of how intense your gardening is.

        My old Bata ones have a steel/hard shank, they are fantastic for stomping on the spade/shovel.

  I'm a size 12 but got size 13 and feels small. Looks like size 15 would have been a better fit
