Are these warm enough, where you can wear just 1 layer underneath and you'll still be warm?
It really depends on the individual, where you live and what you're doing. In Melbourne I personally would probably feel warm with a t-shirt underneath this walking around in cold weather but if I was sitting outside in cold weather I'd probably need a sweater underneath to not feel chilly.
If I was in Sydney this would probably be overkill for me and I probably wouldn't get much wear out of it except on really cold days or nights where the feels like temp is 0-8c. I'd probably opt for a lighter down jacket (e.g. Uber light) or a down vest instead of the Halo.
Though for females I think going for the Halo wouldn't be a bad idea (inb4 sExIsT!!1!) because women feel the cold more than men do.

These are made out of duck down? Isn't that where they pluck the feathers out of the duck? Sounds pretty painful? Surely there's a better solution?
