Awesome, I've been waiting to fly to Dubai for a night!

    • +11

Same. Cheaper to fly to Dubai and restock on meds for personal use (3 months supply) that buying it here at full price

      • +2

        Meds?!? :d

        • +7

For example a tube of Tretinoin 0.1% can only be compounded now and costs around $60+.
In dubai it's less than $5

Clomid 50mg is $30 for 10 tablets. In dubai you can get 30 tablet packs for less than a tenner

Also if over the counter and you don't need a prescription

How does customs treat you on the way back?
I'd hate to be featured on an episode of border patrol.

I declare everything and they let me through. Never had an issue with the times I bought meds from OS. Also my friend got me a batch last year and he didn't have any issues

As long as the drug is not illegal in Australia and you're just bringing back for personal use then you're fine

          • @illusion99: Yeah true.

You can also still bring in test/sus as long as its 3 months supply and reasonable dosage but it's up to their discretion to ask for a prescription.

    • play your cards right and you might never leave!

If you do the dune rides that end up with the feast in the desert it is pretty good. Just don’t do it during Ramadan.

What’s the difference between Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

    • +79

Dubai doesn't like the Flinstones, but Abu Dhabi Do!

        Well done Dad.

      • Isn't there a Scooby Doo reference in there?

        • +5

Yabba Dabba Doo. Not Scooby doobie doo

    • One is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The other is a dystopian hell hole.

I went once when it was 48 during the day. Awful but hotels were so cheap, I mostly stayed indoors, and when I was outdoor it wasn't for long. Not a bad city to visit, horrible to live with that weather.

you can always go and visit ski Dubai!

  • Wondering if i can claim it if i buy through Qantas

    • Me too, wondering if i can claim it if i buy through SriLankan Airlines :)

I had hardtime dealing with Emirates 13years ago, missing out on loyalty points bough on emirates website, but supposadly not through the main page. Was avoiding this airline since then. Hoping their service improved

      • No, it's based on the ticket issuing carrier not the operating airline.

  • Do you have to book through emirates, or can you claim if you use a 3rd party OTA

  • +1

Hopefully they will honour the free night unlike Etihad Ethic-free Enterprises who offer free nights then cancel you (without notice). Hopefully not across the board with UAE airlines.

farking fark fark i'm reading this minutes after checking in at the default copthorne hotel

  • I stayed here about 10 years ago and it is a pretty amazing place. At the time it was the world's tallest hotel, now beaten by another hotel in Dubai by a metre, so the views are incredible.
