Asus RT-AX88U Pro Vs AX86U Pro

Hi ,

I am currently looking for a new Wifi Router.Can you please guide me which one to go ? AX88U Pro Vs AX86U Pro ?

I can see that Amazon has AX88U Pro for A$ 303. But the router seems to be from the UK ?
Would there be any issues with the transmit power or something like that if I use an imported router from UK or Germany ?

    Can't help you with the comparison but

    Have the older AC88u - picked it up for free off marketplace.
    Yes its old but it still goes hard, honestly i don't think you'll notice the difference given the sad state of our NBN.

    They'll both be more than enough. The range on my AC88u though is insane.

    Do a google search on UK wifi power limit — that would put off most buyers on OzBargain. Spec wise,

    • AX88 Pro has higher 2.4GHz bandwidth (1148Mbps vs 861Mbps) due to 4x4 antenna.
    • AX88 Pro has 2x 2.5Gbps port + 4x 1Gbps ports, vs 1x + 5x on AX86 Pro

    Don't bother with UK/EU stock unless you want to stuff around with command line tweaks.

    There might be a RT-AX86U Pro deal for AU stock during Amazon Prime Day 16-21 July.

      1000% this, don't bother with anything other than AU stock.

    I have the RT-AX86U and it's rock solid. It pretty much does what it says on the box (can't same the same for netgear and dlink).

    I also have a Ai-mesh node RT-AX56U and it works great too.
