Please Recommend Me a Tour Operator in Dubai

Hey everyone,

I’ve booked a 2-night (almost 3-day) stay in Dubai for August on our way back from Europe. We’re a family of two adults and an 11-yo kid.

We’re thinking about doing a half-day desert trip while we’re there. I know it’s super hot in August, but we don’t want to stay indoors the whole time. There are so many different options out there that I’m getting a bit confused. Can anyone suggest a good website to book a desert trip from and let me know if we should go for the 4-hour or 7-hour option? Is quad biking a must or camel riding enough, or is there something else we should look for?

Also, what other fun stuff should we check out while we’re in Dubai?

Thanks a lot!

August in Dubai……It's just too hot and humid during the day. I doubt whether they would offer outdoor activities, let alone anyone enjoying them.

Just enjoy the hotel aircon, the pool and the shopping malls during the day, and go out at night like the locals do.

Not the answer you are looking for, but an honest one.

    • There are many options starting at 15:30, so most of the tour will be during evening-night hours. I would expect it's not that hot in desert during those hours anymore .

It's over 40c & high humidity during the day. The sun doesn't set until after 6:30 pm. It would be akin to child abuse to take children out during the day.

Source? Been there in July & August on stopovers.

        • So its basically queensland ?

Drive around in an air conditioned coach and the tour guide points out all the slave labour at construction sites.

    • Damn you Muzeeb, I clicked on that!

It is really hard to know which Tour Operator they are nowadays.
You book from Tour Desk in Hotel A name ABC, your friend book in Hotel B name XYZ.
And then you both end-up on the same bus eventually.

We took a Tour in July-2023, super-hot, like murder.
Run outside for 1.5-minute photo shoot, Hubby went out to the Gold market, then we both stayed in the Coach and declined the boat ride. Most of the other Tourists look like Arabian or Indian and the weather didnt stop them.
    Even bus-stops are air-conditioned.

In case you need the name, I think the "final/real" company is Rayna Tours. I cant remember the Tour Desk in Hotel.

    Enjoy Europe!
    Looks like this one https://www.facebook.com/raynagroup.

The Malls are huge, and you can watch the musical fountain and the aquarium.

  • When i was in abu dhabi i booked myself and family into doing a 4wd sand dune adventure, followed by evening dinner at a desert camp. At the camp there was camel rides , sand boarding down dunes, henna body art for the the kids. It was a good buffet.

The 4wding on the dunes was mad. We were in a toyota prado doing up these massive dunes, and sliding down the side of them. Scary as hell, but so much fun.

Look for a similar thing in adu dhabi.
