Took up the recent Bing Lee deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854015 and went to enter the details in my Microsoft Account…

Cancelled my recuring billing and was offered 2 months free to keep recuring billing enabled.

Not sure where to post this but thought worth others knowing.

    Cancellations are not bargains.

Not sure where to post this

It should be noted that if you've already done this in the past it won't work.
I did this about 2 years ago and just tried now, no luck.

Didn't work exactly the way it had before for me (I got the offer prior), but I cancelled recurring billing anyway. Then, at the top, I see a message saying I will get 1-month free if I turn on recurring billing, which I did so I got 1 month, lol.

  • I thought it used to be one month so this sounds good… but I've stacked subscriptions until 2026!

  • THANKS pilotg2 - saved me $28 in less 10seconds!

      Please explain

      • Ask your IT, can't find the link but it you use it at work you an install the products at home.

Two months isn't much of a solution, what will you do after that?

Alternatively I'd buy the old office suite (non-365) cheap somewhere ^_^.

  • How do you.cancel the subscription???
My girlfriend has a subscription but cant cancel it - we have been trying for months
All the guides and how to's haven't worked for us, they keep trying to take the money out of her account (too bad for them she has no money right now)

Anyone else come across this issue?

  • I'm currently on $97.30 a year for family plan about to expire at the end of the month. Got a 2-month extra offer when trying to cancel but noticed this "Starting on 20/01/2025, we’ll charge you AU$125.30 every year", so not exactly saving

  • Only got a one month extension this year with this trick.
