Best Home Loan Rate at The Moment?

Hi guys, Just want to know what is the best home loan interest rate at the moment if you guys don't mind sharing.

I am currently on 5.99% per annum variable home loan with Off-set account (Paying $395 package fee annually).

It was 2 years since I refinance and I recently contacted my broker to ask if there is any better deal available (better rate, cash back etc )

The broker came back saying my rate is the best at the moment (due to covid, it was discounted rate) and I would not find better ones anytime soon.

I have looked at some comparison sites and it seems true but I am not convinced because the rate I see on online will be greatly different to ones negotiated with the brokers.

I want to know what are you guys on and whether if it's a good time to refinance now giving market is stabilising? My LVR is <80%.

Thanks

  • Also on 5.99% with ING (refinanced at 70% LVR) and contacted my broker a month ago. Even if I refinanced with a lower LVR was told I won't really find a better deal.

  • +4

5.95% Up Bank with free offset, no $395 package garbage.

    • i'm on this. They are great.

    • I just checked this out. Looks great.

    • Same. Have been using Up as my primary bank account and it's great to automatically have all my savers as offsets

    • Might have to give ubank the kick and finally switch to Up for good.

    • the only issue is I am unable to have my loan amount covered if reaching banks directly. Getting a broker makes it hard to go with online banks :(
