Time to buy spares like o rings and connectors

Recommend people avoid connectors with flow control. I've had 2 fail in the last 5 years. Noting my area has high water pressure which I'm sure contributed to this.

not exactly the kind of "bargain" this page is here for

    • +3

Especially when you pay top dollar and they fail after a few years

      • I'd suggest doing a product review on their website but they don't post any negative reviews their products receive unfortunately.

        • What about Trustpilot?

Pretty sure there is meant to be a price in the title.

  • +14

Expensive product with free shipping is not a deal

    • I concur. Free shipping is bargain

      • +1

I also, (lifts word of the day card) conquer

  • +2

Considering how much these cost. They need to throw a better deal than just free shipping.

  • +1

I had been keeping an eye out for these and on another deal post someone recommended Aussie Hoses. I went with them and couldn't be happier with the product and service, sent someone over, they discussed location, fixed it to the wall to save me doing it (three times likely including the retries). Worth looking at as an alternative and a good price. Not associated, just a happy customer. https://www.aussiehoses.com.au

They are cheap shit hose mate
You can buy them for $50 and it’s free install if you do yourself

  • +4

A good time to order spare parts. Thanks OP

  • +13

Does no one realise that the free shipping isn't the time to by a hose?

It's the time to buy the extra $4 adaptor that you need that usually would have a shipping change.

    • +5

Seems a few have missed the point so ive updated description.

    • +1

Precisely, they have flat shipping on all adapters and with their own proprietary system you just get stuck needing to wait for a free shipping promo

    • Exactly - quite a useful deal for me. Thanks

  • Most must be sleeping while deals been going on the entire past week.
30% cashback on top of hoselinks EOFY deals. Spend $30 free shipping, doubt you can find anything under $30 anyway.

Not a bargain. Premium pricing for an average quality product, to then receive free shipping!

    • +1

I've had mine for about 5 years now, sitting in the hot West Aussie sun. Still works well. Not as well as the day I bought it to be fair, but it gets used HEAPS and it's still good.

      Would 100% buy another one.

I've gone through many hose reels and this one has been the longest standing. The next best i've had is funnily enough, a cheap Aldi one, but that gets 0 sun and used probably 10 times a year.

  • +2

Everyone acting like this is just for $200 hose reels, this is a handy deal to get free postage on the connectors eg the click on adapter set that's only $9.5, this would normally be $8 shipping as well, so handy saving.

Thanks OP for what is literally the definition of a bargain/deal.

I could have paid shipping for the connector I need a week ago, now I save money through free shipping.

  • Any suggestions for whats better than Hoselink?

    • +3

I'm not aware of anything better. These have been around since the late 90s when I used to get mine from Kmart. The connectors never leak or burst and once you've tried them you'll never use anything else. They're only sold direct-to-consumer and not at Bunnings, so they're not as widely known or appreciated as they deserve.

what kind of rich person shit is this?

    • Yeah I'm waiting for that shitty Repco one to go on sale

  • +1

Personally I think this is a great deal. We still have fittings that we bought well over 20 years ago at Reject Shop and a hose reel that's probably going on 10 years, with no problems whatsoever, which is more than can be said for the other 2 not inexpensive sh*tty reels we use elsewhere.

I don't need a hose, and if I did I'd have bought it @ 30% off a couple of weeks ago. I need a few small parts, and shipping cost would have doubled the price for me.

    Thanks for your post OP.

Thanks OP - good opportunity to get a few extra fittings I've wanted for a while but didn't want to pay the shipping cost.
