  • What are these like for software updates?

My X3 Pro bricked after ~2 1/2 years of use last month and only had less than a year of software updates - otherwise was a good phone. Was considering picking up this phone as a replacement but didn't really want to put up with poor software support again so went Samsung. Just giving my 2c on my experience with POCO, be sure to backup anything you plan to store locally on the phone.

Think it was a common problem with the X3 Pro, mine bricked after a year… I replaced it with a Pixel 6a but even though it beats it soundly in benchmarks, it's slower, drains battery faster and buggier than the Poco was…

      • Damn, i didn't know that. Doing a google search, it seems to be quite common

I have one that is still going, but I only occasionally use it for rooted stuff.

Was yours factory rom or did you flash it with something?

        • Factory ROM and it suspiciously bricked the first restart after an update. Probably would have been fine if I could have been bothered to install a custom OS.

  • need to pay 10% GST?
