Just got back from Japan where I used a TravelKon physical sim card after buying it on the PointsHack promo.
In a nutshell, I won't be using them again.
Pros
- Generally fast speed (when working)
- Plug and play
Cons
- For about three days, data was inconsistent throughout.
- Failed when i needed it most.
- Chatted to support (who were fast and responsive) and I was advised there was a previous customer compliant about and upon investigation found a network outage with the provider. If that was the case, then why was this not communicated to users?
- It appears to be a simcard from the PRC and put an STK app on my phone. I googled this and it appears this is legitimate. But first time I have seen it an STK app. After removing the simcard, then the app disappeared.
