I considered it, but I need to change too much based on the weight - 62kg needs a serious support.
Most brackets sized for the TV should do this comfortably - plasma screens were easily in the same weight range back in the day.
just look for a big wall mount, they all support the weight.

Wooden studs are good enough for fixtures in your house. A 60kg TV isn't going to affect that.

I went and got a 83" LG G4 today actually. Negotiated to $6400 from Harvey Norman. Upgrading from a 65" C3.
@Commander Shepard: I've got an old 65" Sony Z9D - which still has great image quality, Dolby Vision, really bright and have wanted an LG 83" OLED, because I have a couple of smaller LG OLEDs for my computer and bedroom….but 98"!

The Samsung will be miles better. If you were going cheaper I’d try for a similar deal to the 98 c745 posted Thursday.
How are Samsung miles better, the specs are similar, both are QLED, and Hisense is 4K@144Hz
Samsung is Miniled.
Specs mean so little to a TV’s true performance. Brightness, contrast, colour accuracy, motion handling. That’s what I’d be comparing.
It’s hard to compare to AU Hisense as the models numbers are the same as US but way worse tv’s

Can you check if there is a bundle offer with a soundbar on EDU, that may bring your price down even further? I have a bundle offer on EPP but the price has gone up.

No, 4k content looks beautiful on a 98" TV. Even 1080p content isn't too bad due to the excellent upscaling capabilities of this model.

Samsung shop. Then requires login with a EDU email. Then switch to EDU store in the profile page.

Has anyone received their TV? If so, what courier does Samsung use to deliver the TV. The ANC page isn't very useful as it only shows a scheduled delivery date, with no tracking info at all.
My order confirmation email had following information

Mine is coming next week, the original tracking was from DHL, they have contracted delivery out to a third party, PFM Personalised Freight Management (I'm in central Qld).
I have only had good experience with DHL. Love their very detailed tracking details. Such a shame they didn't go with DHL.
Never heard of PFM. Going by the lack of tracking updates, I am not too impressed so far.
PFM called me yesterday to confirm delivery details so have been great to deal with. I only noted they were doing my delivery since you specifically asked, was not saying they will be doing yours/everyone's - if you are in a different area there's every chance yours will be delivered by someone else.
Mine Came with ANC, delivered 8am the morning they said they would upon ordering.

Yes, got a text in the morning saying onboard for delivery, then seconds later got a text saying I’m next. I think this was as I was first delivery of the day.
I then could track the driver like Uber eats.
Mine got delivered today through ANC. I was able to reschedule from their website and it was sort of handy. They didn’t provide any update until yesterday with the timeslot they will be delivering the TV. This morning they called me with the exact time of delivery alongwith a tracking map.
They delivered it to the room I want to install it. Was a good experience overall.
The driver told me that they pick up the TV from Samsung warehouse in Melbourne in the morning and deliver to customer same day.
So the missing tracking is probably from Samsung from their main warehouse to Melbourne warehouse 🤷

Mine was delivered today and I’ve just finished setting it up! She’s huge! Just fits in the space I needed it to.

Been sitting on my checkout cart and thinking of pulling trigger for same price as you.
I’ve left it on the stand for now, a bit wobbly to be honest.
I felt my previous tv was mounted too high, so considering the size of this one, it was a better viewing angle if I left it on the stand.
98” is absurd, don’t know what I’ll do in 5-7 years (if it survives). Don’t think they’ll do them too much larger.
TCL already have a 115 on the way! It’ll be $$$ tho. I think estimates are $10k usd. So who knows how much here.
Mine is also super wobbly. I intended to leave it on the stand but after seeing how wobbly it is, I think I’ll wall mount this weekend.

I noticed really really bad blooming on the plex screensaver.
Around plex logo and the time. Oh my.
One other thing which is killing me, the volume display. 1/3 of the screen. There’s a thread on the Samsung community from 2020 and it’s on going with no fix.

Keen to learn all the fixes. Damn, didn't read up on these earlier.
Are you sure it is blooming? Have you seen it on anything else than Plex? Reason I ask is Plex screen saver looks like it has a wierd blooming effect on any TV (checked on a Sony OLED and Samsung LED)
