"A fantastic offer from Qantas Wines just popped up on my Instagram - 20% off Wine and Champagne using the code FAMILY20 at checkout.

Despite the 'exclusive' wording - It should be available for everyone as advertised via Qantas social media.

The BEST thing is it can be used on the Bonus Point cases which significantly increases your bang-for-buck points wise. The 'best' offers will allow you to buy points for a little over 1.5c each + you get the wine too of course.

Code is valid until the 30th of June (excludes beer/spirits/wine subscriptions)

I did a test cart and unfortunately it doesn't look like it also stacks with the 10% off Points Club Plus discount though - max discount stays at 20% off.

Other negative is you can only enter ONE promo code online so you can't stack this with vouchers or the 1st customer code bonus

Still a great offer though! 🍷"

This is for 6 bottles for those wondering. Took me a minute to find it, could be due to the time of day 😅

Great deal on that dozen. Just bough a box. Cheers.

No worries mate, I googled some of the bottles and saw it was a good deal. I always love when I see a comment under a deal of a good buy on these sales.

Mixed Red Dozen with 97 point $150 Shiraz is a similar price and has a few nice drops in there as well.

The Allegiance Unity deal works out closer to 1.6 cents per point but still a stellar deal.

EDIT* I forgot about the "extra" bonus points for members and ABN holders, so it is 1.5 cents per point.

Mate, we're set for a while 400 and bit bucks poorer but with plenty of rich red wine for winter.

@joeyg4343: Was tempted to try one when they arrived, but have remained stoic and hid them in the cupboard. Nice bottle and label design.

      • Thanks for the find, got some also!

    • Got a dozen. Review said good drinking in 10-15 years so should be nice to start drinking 2 bottles a year from now on and see how it develops.

  • Noob after a bottle of red for gifting, prefer recognisable brand Penfolds, under $150. But what's with the naming scheme? I thought tech naming sucked till now.

Which 'bin' should I buy? Higher number good? Higher number bad? So confused.

Great community guys. 4 negs for a legit question? What's with the wine snobbery?

      • In you price range, 389/407 is pretty staple Penfold gift.

You could probably find a good bottle of St Henri (another Penfolds wine) for your price.

Don't know if you are gifting to asians or not, but 389/407 is typically well known in the neck of the woods.

    • Recently had a RWT which was delicious, the higher end Penfolds definitely need a bit of age or at least a couple hours in the decanters for a young wine

    • 389 the best value Penfolds Bin IMHO. Had a 2020 recently though and it just needs time still in bottle. Oak stood out a little too much.

I'd encourage you to find a smaller producer - far better bang for buck at that price point than Penfolds. RD :-)

  • Wasn't there a Qantas wine offer ith Amex? Has it expired?

    • +1

I think only Vinomofo and Tyrrell's offers at the moment.

Thought these were both good deals… $15/bottle on average, with some RRP $120 or $150

    Comes down to $177.60

    • Don't think those get you bonus points

Qantas wines? anything with the name qantas leaves a bad taste in my mouth, thanks to that toxic leprechaun.

    • They have great wines and you can amazing points offers, I get 50000+ points easily every year buying wine

  • How long do the points take to show up in your qantas account? I bought yesterday but still 0 points.

  • i used 27k points for this dozen https://wine.qantas.com/p/mixed-pinot-grenache-malbec-dozen-…

Purchased on a whim, hoping for some scoffing mid-week wine. To my surprise when the wine arrived I googled the bottles and most of the wine is valued at around $30 or so. With 2-3 bottles sitting at around the $50-$100 mark. Unbelievable value!! Thanks OP

  • Have ppl got their bonus points yet? Or have a screenshot of the page when the sale was on? Thanks
